Wednesday morning, rested and ready for the day

Good morning journal, the time is now 9:10am and I am rested, having retired at 11:00pm last evening and spent a dreamless night of uninterrupted sleep until I awakened at around 8:20am.This morning was supposed to be Bree's appointment with the vet to have her tooth pulled, but my wife checked her mouth yesterday and noticed that the remainder of the tooth had worked it's way out and the gum seems clear and clean,so,thankfully,we do not have to put Bree through the trauma of an operation,we called the vet yesterday and they agreed that she didn't need to go in.The past two days have been tiring for me,on Monday I had to go to the hospital to the urology clinic,I had to undergo a prostate examination,it wasn't the most pleasant examination I've ever had,but it wasn't exactly the worst either. The good news is,my prostate is okay according to the consultant,so,no prostate cancer, which I am very grateful for.The consultant wanted me to have some blood work done for a follow up visit in a few weeks, but as one of them had to be a fasting blood test, the pathology lab decided that I would be better going to see them the next day after having nothing to eat or drink from 10:00pm the night before. So,off I went yesterday morning after fasting to have it done,a very competent young lady called Debbie extracted the required amount necessary and it was all over very quickly, now we wait until the results are known,we can do nothing more until then.I'm now waiting for the results of three sets of blood work,if memory serves me correctly, one for my diabetic clinic, one for my mental health therapist, and one for the urology clinic,I'm surprised that I have any blood left at all I seem to have given so much of it lately. This afternoon at 1:00pm,we are scheduled to receive a visit from my new mental health social worker,a young lady called Tina, who, hopefully, has been drafted in to take the place of my original case worker Carol Jolly, who left the team very shortly after I became a client. I liked Carol a lot,I felt that I could trust her,and I find it very hard to trust new people in my life,in fact,I find it very hard sometimes to trust people I have known for years now, which is sad, but,we will give her a chance and see how it goes.Tomorrow morning I have an appointment with my doctor,I have decided to mention the pain in my left shoulder and neck area which I have been afflicted with on waking in the mornings, the last few mornings have been virtually pain free, but I would still like to know the cause of it,just to be sure, should it return to it's previously agonizing level.I am still very dizzy on rising from a seated position,I am taking a drug called stemetil, which is supposed to help, but, for the most part,I remain dizzy for a minute or so after getting up from my chair, which is proving most annoying in the extreme,so I will ask him about that also. So,this has been a week where I have had very little chance to rest and recharge the batteries so to speak, but although I am tired for parts of the day,I am able to resist going to bed in the afternoons for a nap,so that is,in itself,a huge improvement. Some of the medications that I am taking do make you tired,it's like an extreme heaviness which descends on me within a half hour of taking them,a bit like someone pressing down on my shoulders when I try to move or get to my feet,it is a hindrance but it is bearable,.....just.Well,it is now 11:03am,I had a little burst of energy, which very rarely happens these days, and I decided to wash last nights supper dishes which were laying in the sink,I did so,and I am now back in my chair, exhausted from the effort, but hey,at least that's one little job my wife doesn't have to do today before the social worker comes, and it made me feel good to have helped out,it doesn't happen often I'm ashamed to say,but at least I made the effort.I am indebted to my friend Mary who clued me in about old Archimedes,I remembered him from history classes at school, which wasn't exactly yesterday, but I couldn't remember the details of why he was famous, thank you Mary,I do now.I enjoy the various comments from my friends who take the time to read my journal,at the very least,it lets me know that I'm not just typing rubbish into thin air,it's not exactly Shakespeare, but it's all I got folks!. Well, time to go get ready for Tina the social work lady,so,until next time journal, may we continue to lean on Jesus for our needs, the wants can wait, but He always provides us with what we need,.....always,thank you Lord.

Yay for Bree\'s tooth falling out. And yay that your shoulder hasn\'t been hurting lately. Hope it went well with your mental health worker. Now I\'m curious about Archimedes. Is he the guy that figured out the displaced water stuff?

I know how hard it is to have to deal with script side effects.I\'m Glad you had that victory to be able to do a chore for your wife.I\'m sure she appreciated your efforts.

I love history and Archimedes was such a astounding example of brilliance.Hope we all get to experience such boundless knowledge in the next life.
