Had my grandson's competency hearing this morning. Such as it was. Now let
me say right here that I talked to this social worker twice and my daughter to
her once before our appointment to day. Plus we faxed them my grandson's
IEP (school plan) and the one from the counselor's. She has had three full days
to look over the paperwork. So we get there and she ushers us into a
conference room where there are two other people who turn out to be medical
doctors. After introductions they immediately ask if he is developmentally
delayed. Uh no. They act like they hadn't even looked at the paper work. If they
had they would find the answer to their question right on the front page of the
IEP. So they say they are the wrong people. The social worker says she will
send a letter to the judge and then they said goodbye. I was dumb struck and
just set there for a few seconds. Can you believe it? I still can't. So I was very
frustrated.

I have just mailed letters to the judge and the social workers supervisor. I will be interested in whether I get a reply or not.
