Weary - but doing ok
Emotionally, I am doing well today. Physically I am dead. I have spent more time sleeping today than awake. I made dinner, only for my daughter to look at me and send me back to my chair to sit while she finished - apparently I look as bad as I feel.
My back is killing me today. As much as I hate taking pain killers, I am living on them today. It feels like someone has inserted a knife into my spine and just left it there.
I have learned that pain is odd, as once one part of my body exceeds the amount of physical pain I can take, everything else starts to hurt too. My knees (which is what originally got me medically discharged from the Army) are just aching. My thoat surgery area is full of shap stabbing pain, even though two vicaden and muscle relaxants.
It is only pain. It is nothing I can't handle. It will pass. Tomorrow will be better.
