We've been offline. a garbage truck knocked down all our lines this morning. frustrating day

Hi angel friends! :) we hope everyone is doing well :) We're back online again! oh my! what a wild, stressful, and frustrating start to our monday morning and week. We lost internet, phone, and cable due to a garbage truck knocking down our lines!!! phone, internet, and cable! on monday, everything was going normal, until about 7:40am. i had come indoors, from putting goodies outside, and i made a hot tea, and was settling into some writings, and all of a sudden, there was this huge whoosh of energy, something was hitting our window, causing our shelf to shake, it sounded like someone was kicking at our window. it was scary. Holly and i went upstairs, and told my mom, and we looked outside, a garbage truck was outside, and had hit our phone/cable/internet lines that go from the telephone pole, to our house with their truck, it was a surreal wild scene, to see the lines down in the road, and on our cars in our driveway. it tore the entire set of lines and box, right off our home. the truck has these mechanical things that they use, they must have not put the mechanical things down. my mom went outside, she talked with the workers in the garbage truck. a car was driving by our road, drove right over the lines, and then the garbage truck went up the road, came back down the other side, and the worker was walking on the lines, while pulling one of the recycleables/garbage bins, we were very worried for the worker, as he shouldn't have been walking on the lines, and not driving over them either. my mom called the norwich public utilities, and they sent out 2 trucks, they blocked the area off, and gathered up the lines, safely, and wrapped them around our telephone pole. my dad got up and went outside. The lines hit our kia car, suv, and our minivan, there's some scratches/black lines from the lines, on my parents kia car and suv. my parents contacted the Willimantic, CT waste management place, and also reported the damages to their car insurance, all state.

our internet, phone, and also cable was out due to the garbage truck hitting our lines. we called Frontier internet, they first said they couldn't send anyone out until tuesday. my mom talked them into sending someone, but no one came between 8am and 12pm. we waited, called frontier, and they said someone was here at 8:30am, but they hadn't come, and they got that mixed up with last week, when someone came at 8:30am. we waited, and even called xfinity, and they both didn't send anyone out to help. the lines, were dangling on the telephone pole all day, which was very upsetting to see, and waiting and waiting for them, and them not coming. my mom called frontier again, and they said they wouldn't be able to send anyone out until tuesday morning. then, around 4:30pm, a frontier van came to the house across the road from us, my mom went out there, and told the guy about our situation, and he said he would let us know if he could help, and then he just helped the house across the road, and drove off. it was frustrating, and demoralizing to say the least. we were like, "hey, don't forget us!" Then, about 30 minutes later, the frontier van returned, and the worker was looking at the telephone pole. he was able to fix the internet line by attaching new line from our home to the telephone pole, and tuesday morning, frontier is gonna come back out to fix our phone line. we're very thankful, and relieved to at least have internet.

what a wild start to the week.we've had some wild rough luck with the internet in recent weeks. We just had some internet/modem issues in recent weeks, and got our modem and wire fixed last wednesday. We were like, "We can't believe this is happening" when the garbage truck knocked our lines down. as the day went on, we were all hanging out, keeping busy. i organized, and decorated my writing area with my nice new cards, gifts, and treasures :) We also were hanging out in our living room, seeing lots of birds visiting our new bird feeder :) i took some awesome new nature pictures to share :) i also saw a robin this morning, first robin i've seen this spring :)

It's been a very long, frustrating, and at times stressful day for us all. it's going to take some really good dedicated time this evening, and tonight, for me to catch up with everything. when all of this happened, we thought, we'd be back online by mid-day at the latest, but it turned into an all day ordeal. i'm not finished with the day, i want some much needed DS time, i've missed you all, and have missed being able to be here on DS today. really frustrated by the whole ordeal, and situation, that shouldn't have have happened, but it did. we're back online, and i'm ready to read, write, and type my heart out until i'm caught up <3 i love spending time here on DS, writing to friends, and that was taken from me for most of the day, but i'm ready to spend extended time here on DS. i want to thank our dear friends Judy (Ladybug7), Elizabeth (Gratefulgrandma123) for keeping in touch with me through text today. :)

Will write a more normal journal tomorrow with pictures, just had to get this journal posted, and to let everyone know, i'm here :) Wishing everyone a peaceful evening and night :) i've lost a lot of time today, here on DS, my earning sites, and i feel like my day is just getting started now :) We'll be re-starting our week tomorrow, getting back to our normal routines :) We love you all bunches and bunches! :)
