We're Screwed
Pardon me, but sarcasm gets me through.
There's no place safe on the Florida peninsula.
The hurricane is wider than the state. My county is under mandatory evacuation for low lying areas.
We will sustain damage. I've never escaped with no damage. My roof is 13 hrs older and I'm too sick to deal with it.
My dogs are safe. The vet's is filled with dogs and cats and staff who are sleeping there until the storm is over.
I am 30 miles northeast at my ex's mother's. I dread going back. But after a week of anticipation i want this effing THING to get over with, even though the aftermath is always worse.
Some people will be lucky and some won't. But everyone is in danger.

I'm so glad your at the ex's mother. I would hate being staff for that vet clinic, it would be scary to me, but I'm so glad they are making it top priority to care for these animals. I hope you don't get too much damage, and that you are able to keep us posted somehow on how you are doing. I am thinking about you and praying.
I'm really glad you are with people. I know how much you didn't want to be alone. Yeah, let's just get this over with already! There's been so much build-up to it. It is going to affect the whole state in one way or another. We're on your side. Love you.
