We're ready for the Blizzard/snowstorm. went to the post office, mailed treasures today :)
We're ready for the big Blizzard winterstorm! oh my! it's started to snow here, around 10am this morning. it's really coming down, and is gonna be very heavy snow/winds tonight, and tomorrow. my mom, dad, and i went out early this morning around 8:30am, to the post office :) we mailed 2 envelopes, and a treasures package :) it went really well :) my dad came into the post office with us, and got some free tax books :) my dad got to see me having some nice social interaction, and public speaking :) i'm so glad, and thankful we got a chance, to go to the post office today, because we're gonna be snowed in here, tomorrow and wednesday. just incase, there are any power outages in our area, i got my cell charged up, we do have a generator that could bring some power. we're hopeful the storm will pass quickly. schools closed early today. my mom and dad went out to the grocery store this morning, to pick up some extra goods. i also put extra goodies, around our yard, for the birds, and squirrels. it was very busy when we went out to the post office, lots of people were out, finishing up some final preparations for the storm. we saw seagulls gathering on top of someone's roof in our neighborhood. the weather people, calling for very fierce storm. Our thoughts, and prayers are with everyone, to keep warm, safe, and make it through the storm. i've been enjoying some time here on ds today, writing to friends, and doing some writing too :)
Blizzard winterstorm beginning! i made this video around late morning, it had been snowing for about an hour when i made this video. i went out to put extra goodies around our yard, for the birds, and squirrels :) This blizzard could bring 2 to 3 feet of snow!!!
SUPER MEGA SWEET AWESOME, SUPER MONDAY, SPIRIT SOARING, POST OFFICE ADVENTURE!!! :) with very special deliveries! :) awww! :) a special monday post office adventure this week! :) a very special thank you, for my mom and dad, for going to the post office with me this early morning :) i was so glad, and thankful, to get a chance to go :) We had a very special birthday party to mail, and some envelopes :) i'm smiling lots, as we got to go early, and mailed the treasures. :) we missed going to the post office last week, it was so nice, getting to go this early week :) We're also thankful we went today, because we're gonna be snowed in, tomorrow, and wednesday. lots of news, about the big Blizzard that is impacting New England, and the NorthEast coast.
my mom and dad went to the grocery store, and bank earlier, and also filled up the minivan gas tank, just incase, as there's a big blizzard headed our way. it began to snow around 10am this morning. Schools closing early, and tonight, it's gonna get very bad, and fierce, with heavy snow, winds, blizzard conditions, that will go through tomorrow. We're all preparing, best we can, including charging up batteries, and we also have a generator, that could give us a bit of power, if we were to lose power tonight. the nature animal friends, are sensing the storm too, this morning, we saw lots of birds, including seagulls, on top of someone's roof here in our neighborhood. i've never seen seagulls on top of the roofs here. i put outside, lots and lots of extra goodies, for the birds, and squirrels, we love to make sure, they have plenty of foods to eat. We're hoping everyone will be ok, keeping safe, warm, and ride out the storm in a safe place. they said, the snow drifts from this storm, with 2 to 3 feet of snow, and very bad winds, there could be 4 to 6 foot high snow drifts they mentioned. that's wild!!! oh my! i will make a short video, of the snowstorm, in the morning, to share with everyone. i'll also be taking pictures to share too, this could be a historic snowstorm.
my mom, dad, and i went to the post office this early morning :) We had 2 special envelopes, and a special treasures package to mail. :) Around 8:30am this morning, we were all set, and ready to rock and roll! :) post office, HERE WE COME!!! :) we began our super fun adventure! :) my dad was driving :) he wanted to go into the post office to see if they had some free tax information books :) we were enjoying a nice peaceful car ride :) we saw all of our favorite sites, including the peaceful pond :) it looked very quiet, and peaceful by the pond ,i did see a bird flying around there :) it was extremely cold this morning, 19 degrees. We were keeping warm with minivan heater on :) We saw uncasville roads, very busy, lots of people out and about, getting prepared for the storm. down by dunkin donuts, henny penny, and 7-11, lots of cars. We approached closer to the post office, and arrived there :) we were only costomers :)
we walked into the post office, and the worker wished us a good morning :) We wished her a good morning too :) this was awesome! :) my dad was getting to see me have social interaction, and public speaking :) i was very proud :) my dad got some of the free tax information books :) i said to the worker, "we have some envelopes, and a package to mail internationally" :) social interaction! :) i felt very confident, and was in that sweet calm relaxing, peacefully focused zone :) all the focus i need, when going to the post office, is focusing on family and friends smiling when they recieve their mail :) the experience was going great :) i had brought home some costoms forms, as i love to fill out the forms at home, and the worker was impressed, that i had the form all set, and ready :) She scanned the form, asked shipping questions :) i did really well, with my social interaction, and public speaking :) all of the nice social interaction i have, helps build up my foundation of confidence, that helps me during future experiences :) You all have helped me make it this far into my therapy :) i'm very blessed :) The worker gave me the total for the order, and i handed her the money :) my mom, dad, and i thanked the worker, and we wished eachother a nice day :) i had 2 stamps leftover from a couple weeks ago, i had put the stamps on the envelopes, and then the very special moment i love very much ,is holding the envelopes together, as i put the envelopes into the mailing box :) Special delivery! :) awww! :) from our hearts, and home to yours :)
my mom, dad, and i then began to make our journey home :) i thanked them, for going with me to the post office :) We went early this week, as this big winterstorm, will probably have us snowed in, tuesday and wednesday. we're hopeful, the power won't go out. i'm so proud of how i'm doing with getting back into my writings now, that i'm back to good health :) i'm continuing to write a new letter, for my lovely ds mum (Bloss), plus, i'm writing some cards :) we'll return to going to the post office on wednesday's, beginning next week :) i'm excited, to do some more writing, and i also want to put together, another treasures package :) we had a nice time going to the post office this morning :) my mom and dad went back out to the grocery store, and i watched our local news, our govenor was speaking to the state on tv, about the storm, and preparations. it does look like it's gonna be a huge storm. we are praying for everyone's safety, and warmth.
We're having a good day, keeping warm :) i put extra goodies outside, for the birds and squirrels. :) i saw some cute little sparrow birds under our snowball bush, i put extra goodies out there, and also on the bird feeders :) i put some goodies on a feeder, under our shed awning, so they have an extra spot to get goodies :) We're gonna ride the storm out here, at home. we'll be home tomorrow, and wednesday too. i've been keeping updated on the local news, sites, and weather channel. i've also been enjoying some time here on ds, writing to friends :) Today for lunch, i enjoyed a baked potato, and some boiled wheat and barley with chipotle salad dressing :) lunch was delicious! :) there's lots of places closing, including schools, and businesses, in preparations for the worst/most severe part of the storm, they said, from 7pm through tomorrow afternoon, will be the most severest part of the blizzard. i'll keep everyone updated. we're hopeful, power won't go out. if it does, i will keep in touch, with friends on cell phone/text, to keep everyone updated. we're hopeful all will be ok. we want everyone in the path of the storm, to keep safe, warm, and alert of the conditions.
