Hi angel friends :) my family and i hope everyone is doing well, and enjoying a peaceful day :) it's been a smooth moving week, and the weekend is approaching :) We're planning a nice baking friday for tomorrow, plus the big derby day on saturday, and would love to go shopping this upcoming weekend too :) There's lots of birds singing outside here, and we have some nice 70's and 80's degrees weather in our forecast, for the upcoming week :) i'll definitely be blossoming into some gardening time soon :)
It's been a good week, overall :) i've been reading all of your heart-felt comments, and want to thank you all so much, for always cheering me up, brightening my days, and for being here for my family and i :) it means the world to us :) We feel very blessed, and extremely thankful, to have wonderful friends, across the miles, always very close within our hearts :) We feel the love, spirit, and positive energy, each and every day :) i've been doing well this week, with keeping myself busy and active :) i wanted to share with everyone, about how i recieved my book of CT postcards, that i ordered on amazon :) They arrived in the mail :) i'm really excited, about writing some nice notes, and mailing out the cards to everyone :) it's gonna be really special writing time :)
The week has been a nice balance of time with family, friends, nature, and writing :) i've had some awesome talks on the phone with friends, catching up with some friends through email, and also treating myself to some movie nights too :) there's been lots of good things going on in my days, that has me thinking really positive, and i've been adding more and more things to my days too, that is helping me :) talks with my mom, with friends, getting some iced teas, iced coffees, and also all of the spring time nature, that's blossoming beautifully :) i've been able to make some great progress, this week, and recent times, because of all of your wonderful love, care, support, guidance, and encouragement :) it's helping me a lot, and is boosting my spirits up, cheering me, and has me thinking forward, which is the best thing for me :) to be thinking forward, and also taking time to reflect, and making such good progress, has been healing for me. :) Everyone is so wonderful, being here for me, especially the past month. i feel like i'm gaining more strength, freedom from the pain my heart endured, and more happy times, and happy feelings, are filling into my heart now, and that's a very special thing :)
i feel like i'm growing, learning, and also making progress at the same time :) sometimes, it takes rough times, for us to really realize how strong we truly are, and how we can prevail, through rough times, and can push forward with more progress, with our strength, but also the strength our loved ones, family and friends give us :) it's a very special blessing :) i feel proud of myself, for how well i'm doing, i'm proud of my family, and proud of my friends :) i'm so thankful for DS, and being able to share, helping, and recieving that comforting support too :) it truly is, a treasure trove of love, care, and support, being shared, with such wonderful close bonds, of friendship :) A BIG THANK YOU! from my mom, family, and i :) it means the world to us, and we will always be here, for you and your family's :)
We have baking friday coming up tomorrow, and Kentucky derby day on saturday, plus we have sunday to look forward too also :) i want to do some shopping this upcoming weekend, for some birthday's coming up in our family and family of friend's who have birthday's approaching :) we have some amazing warm weather coming soon too, with the 70's and 80's degrees weather :) it's gonna be a pure joy :)i've already been blossoming out into our yard, and gardens more :) it's really nice, and refreshing :) i've been feeling better, especially having good moments, listening to the birds, or just soaking up the sunshine :) These small, simple joys in my life, bring my heart such a comforting happiness, that is so wonderful, pure, and beautiful :) Our plants are soaking up some sunshine today, and the birds have been singing happily, all day :)
Angel friends, oh my! Earlier today, i just gotta share about what happened. i was on the phone, with our dear friend Maria (Love4You), and i was here, in my computer room, and all of a sudden, my mom came into the hallway, she said, "Chris, come help, our oven is on fire!" yikes!!! i went out into the kitchen with my mom, there was a small fire going on, in our oven. my mom wanted to do some baking, and had turned the oven on to heat up the oven, but someone last evening, had put some items in our oven, a plastic bowl, had caught fire, and was melting inside of our oven. my mom was throwing salt on the fire. i was trying to help calm my mom down. it was getting a bit smokey in our kitchen. Maria was still on the phone with me, she mentioned it would be alright, to put water on the fire. my mom got a bowl of water, and tossed the water into the oven, and it thankfully put out the fire. our kitchen and living room was all smokey, but we put the Ac/window fans on, and opened our front door screen. we're all ok, but it was scary in those moments. a very special thank you, for our dear angel friend Maria, for sticking with us on the phone, and helping out, plus she was checking in to see if my mom and i were both ok :) god bless her heart. Thank you angel Maria :) We appreciate everything :) this evening, we're gonna clean out our oven, where the plastic bowl melted, and all will be alright. it was a close call today, but thankfully all is ok :)
It's a good thursday, and week :) my family and i are doing well :) my dad's been working at the print shop today, and in recent days, he's doing really well, with the work :) Today for lunch, i enjoyed a fresh salad, with black olives, carrots, cucumbers, and i also had cooked some nice cabbage soup, with potatoes, and carrots :) lunch was delicious! :) my heart has been feeling good today, and yesterday :) it's definitely signs, that my heart is healing up a bit more, each day :) it's helped me to do writings, talk on the phone with friends :) i'm keeping strong, and focused on the most important blessings in my life :) Family, Friends, Health, and Nature :) i'm very blessed, and thankful :) i've been keeping busy, and enjoying each day to the fullest :) i look forward to writing some more cards, we got baking friday tomorrow, we love to share our baking friday adventures :) i'll be keeping busy with the spirit of baking friday all throughout the day tomorrow :) i'm feeling more spirited, especially this week :) tonight, the first round of the NFL draft is on, i want to watch it a bit, and i'm also going to put a movie on :) i've been enjoying some time here on ds today, writing to friends :) Thank you all so very much, for all that you do for us :) You all are wonderfully nice, and sweet :) We deeply appreciate everything, with all of the love of our hearts :)There's many more good times to look forward too, with family, friends, and nature :)

Sunflower Cup :) i did some organizing, on one of my treasures shelves here in my computer room today, and i got my nice sunflower cup, i had recieved years ago, i think in 2009 :) i wanted to bring the cup out, of the box, to use, and to have some hot teas from time to time :) The sunflower mug, has a special heart-felt note on it :) it says, "who in life, could quite compare, to a friend who has a heart to care, by giving love and warmth to spare, so genuine and true. Where on earth can there be found, someone who's friendship knows no bounds. there is no need to look around, that special one is you, with Fondest wishes" :) Dedicated to you all, our dear angel friends :)
Our Plants are doing so well, growing, and flourishing :) we had some early sunshine today, it did get a bit chilly/cloudy, but i checked in on the plants, they're doing well :)it's an amazing time, with the spring nature blossoming :) i took a few new pictures, and also some re-post pictures, of the nature that's shined wonderfully this week, and there's lots more to look forward too :)

Hi Chris! Happy Thursday HUGS! Gateway to Baking Friday! I\'ve never heard of a Kentucky Butter cake before, that sounds really amazing :) I am looking forward to your Baking Friday adventure!!! Sweet :) It is so nice the weather is warming up! I saw a wood tick crawling on my kitchen cabinet the other day and I wrapped it in packing tape heehee. Sounds like that was a very alarming situation today, having a small fire in your oven! That could have been very scary! Also baking soda helps if you keep it next to the stove. Remember water won\'t help with a grease fire! maybe get a small fire extinguisher to be safe! Safety first my friend! You are so heroic to spring into action like that! Quick thinking! I am so glad, and it is such a blessing, that you are all safe! Your soup, with the cabbage, sounds so good and nutritious. I once heard if you ate cabbage every day you would live to be 100! It is a super food. I like to eat healthy too :) We are watching the NFL draft a little bit here too. I am worried about Adrian Peterson. What a mess. I have mixed emotions on that. I was so crestfallen when he was first taken out of playing any Vikings games last season because I knew that we would lose. I hope that the Vikings will get some quality players. We have a bad record lately. I feel terrible about what AP did, there is no excuse, I am not saying he should not have been punished. But the thing is, the Vikings are just doing so terrible! It is just one thing after the other. So I hope and pray this year will be better. Whew...I\'m so glad that everything turned out OK with the oven fire! If you don\'t already have one, you might want to invest in a small fire extinguisher just in case.
