We have everything we need to be happy

WE HAVE EVERYTHING WE NEED
TO BE HAPPY
RIGHT NOW !
We may not have everything we want, but we have everything we need.
Recently met a woman here on DS who is my age, 67, and who inspired me to start the 5:2 diet pattern of eating.  It is a version of Intermittent Fasting, but isn't literally a fast.  You get 5 days of normal intake, interspersed with 2 days of very low calories.
The BEAUTY of this program--to me anyway--is that if I "fail" on a day when I'm supposed to eat only 600 calories, I can try it again on another day! Our appetites and schedules vary from day to day.  IF AT FIRST YOU DON'T SUCCEED, TRY TRY AGAIN!
That's exactly what I did.  I tried to do 600 on Sunday, but was so hungry, I was getting disoriented.  So I made it a normal day and re-scheduled my 600 day for Tuesday.  AND I SUCCEEDED.  The next 600 day will be Friday.
So far, in the last 11 days, I have had 3 days where I SUCCESSFULLY ate only 600 calories.  Never know what you  can do until you try!
And I love it that I can eat more on the other 5 days of the week.  Moderation is key.
Thank you, friends, for being there for me.

I am doing fine. This week I scheduled my 600 calorie days for Tues. and either Fri. OR Sat., depending on my appetite and schedule. Fri. I woke up hungry and it was also raining all day, which makes me feel lethargic. So today, Sat., is my second 600 day for this week. I feel good and happy today and the sun is out. Yea!
