We Gathered
We gathered to bid Kirby a final farewell this afternoon. The chapel was packed. There were several that worked or had worked at Channel 10 and it was good to see them again. All the guys from the department he worked in were there. My former boss who had stood by me during my bypass surgery was there. I hadn't seen him since he quit. We noticed that we are a lot grayer than we remember as are many of the others. Some younger guys who hadn't worked for the station in many years,,,a tribute to his influence were there. But the channel 10 people were just a quarter of those attending. The rest were friends and family. A nice turnout. Kirby, may you rest in peace.
