We Are A Symphony

I'm going crazy writing again...  My heart is full and I have to share...  Yvonne is a friend who's daughter, Laura commited suicide because of school bullies.  Laura was only 13 years old...   Today Yvonne wrote on loving arms... She told me to feel free to share with yall and so I copied her letter and my response...  At first I felt very negative but I do feel better because maybe somewhere someone will read what Laura wrote and what happened... maybe they will be moved to work on making the world a better place... It is up to all of us...  Yvonne wrote...   I don't know when she wrote this, but she was just 13 when she died. It breaks my heart that we couldn't stop her pain, no matter how hard we tried. I wish the perpertrators could read what they did to her.   Everyday Everyday is sorrow Everyday is pain Everyday is terror Everyday is pain Everyday is the same   By Laura Rhodes. From Yvonne,Laura's Mum.My very own little Welsh Dragon.18th April 1991 - 4th September 2004Please Visit Laura at : http://hometown.aol.co.uk/ellealaw/Laurarhodes.html I hope you will take the time to visit Laura's memorial and light a candle... You will see what a lovely girl she is.  My heart aches for her.  I wish I could just take her in my arms and hug her till the pain left her eyes...  I wish I could do it for all people who hurt...   <>I wrote  I don't know if it will make a difference even if they knew... sometimes we have to let go and forgive so that we can move on...  I don't know if you can... if I can... but I think we need to try... hating is evil... and I think a lot of times the reason kids are so mean is that they are full of hate... and most of all they hate themselves...  Cara had a lot of problems with people at her school... She truly was pretty and some of it was jealousy.... but when she attempted suicide and the word got around it was like open season for awhile... She had a terrible struggle and she carried the pain with her into adulthood...  I don't think she ever totally got over it... I hope that someday people... and its not just the kids... when adults act like bullies, call names, act snotty... their kids learn to act the same way... kids learn what they live...  If parents are really interested in seeing things different they need to teach their children the golden rule...  make them understand that the biblical verse that says... in so much as you do it unto these the least of my brethern... you do it unto me....  and we do it unto ourselves and each other.... Meaness is a contagious disease...  We need to understand that all we do in life impinges on everyone...  good and bad... It sometimes seems like these days there's so much pain that our young people can't see the value of caring and kindness...  they figure they're going to get it so they might as well get theirs in first...  Well yall we've tried that... and it isn't working... I'm so sad at the increasing number of incidents of violence throughout the world....  When I met Richard I found it awesome when I would go and listen to him as he taught his students in his band classes.  It would be such chaos... but through watching him and other people put together band performances I came to understand that every participant was important.  Whether you were playing a flute or a triangle... the sound needed to come in at just the right moment... and if it wasn't there... the piece was lessened...  I was and am impressed to understand how important each little part is... Life is like that... I pray that people will understand that we're all wrong if we don't learn that we all have notes to play in this composition... Every single note is important to the beauty of the finished piece...  and all the missing notes make my heart cry...  Our children are not missing notes... They lived... they live.... they loved... they love... and they are loved forever... and they are part of our symphony... I sometimes feel like your kids are part of my own special symphony because through you I've come to know them...  I do thank you so much for sharing them... Well I'm rambling again.... Next time I shut up yall will close and lock the door... *Smile* Hugs Elissa  Oh yall... I'm still marking that I'm x number of days still quit smoking... Honestly... I think I should take it down as a goal.... but I'm not sure... does it still count if I still want one desperately at times.... well I do.... but I don't.... and I won't!!!  if you know what I mean...  LOL
