Waves

It's like waves of the oceans hitting the rocks along the beach- crashing, splashing loud. My emotions are just that when I think of you. How do I begin this journey of looking forward to my future without you? How do i find a miracle in each day to be grateful for? I'm forever deeply sadden by your death baby boy. They say time heals all wounds but how much time will it take?

You have begun this path and are taking it one breath, moment and day at a time. I'm not sure how any of us "do" it, yet somehow we do by not looking too far ahead and trying to remain in the present moment.

For me, time has made the jagged edges of my heart soften and it has become different, yet never will I feel "healed" in that sense. I don't believe there's enough "time" in the world to heal what a mother faces with the loss of her children. We learn how to carry it and still continue on as best as we are able knowing it's enough, more than enough.

Gentle care to your hurting heart and so much understanding. Keep journaling, connecting and remembering that you are not alone.

Just one day at at a time is all you can do, as Joanie said. The pain is indescribable, I remember it so well how it was in the early days. I forgot how to breathe and felt as though I had a brick lodged in my chest. Just tried to struggle through each day. After 6 years I'm still learning how to deal with the pain but it is not so intense now and I have periods of peace and fleeting moments of joy in remembering my child. Much love to you, Sue xxx

Yes you forget how to breathe all together. It has been a struggle but I am learning how to take it day by day and be easy with myself. Thanks for the encouragement Sue!
