I simply had a riveting meeting with Lindsay Shedden, the Festival Director for Sled Island. Sled Island is a 4 day music and arts event in Calgary that begins the summertime, where countless artists and musicians gather to enjoy in settings across the city. Record Sled Island was created in 2007 by Zak Pashak the owner of Broken City, a nearby Calgary bar. When I asked Lindsay how Sled Island came about, she claimed it was a notion over beers.
