Wasting time

I've spent most of the summer here in Southern Calif.  Not complaining, it's a nice place to live.  But I didn't make good use of my time.  Weather wasn't all that great - too many days of mostly cloudy.  Near the beach is known for that but this year was bad.  I also had a goal to meet someone to travel with this fall-winter but the few dates I had just didn't work out.  Haaa...maybe too picky?  :-)
Anyhow, it's almost winter with shorter days, cool temps, etc.  I dislike it.  Time to plan a trip back to Placencia Belize - maybe stay 2-3 months.  Been there 3 extended visits since Aug 2010 and keep thinking I might like to buy a small condo to live there in 'winters'.  Going alone since I know more people down there than here.
One problem is I feel a bit 'guilty'...mostly about leaving my 32yo daughter here with no family over holidays.  We've talked about it and she's fine with it since she has many great friends but I still can't pull the trigger and book the air.  Fares are crazy too.  The longer I wait the worse they get.  Duhhh.  I offered to fly her down for Christmas week if she can get off enough days but she's the HSP jr and can't make a decision either (her other option is visiting family in Indiana).
My washer quit Friday - filled up a full load and it just quit.  I'm mechanical and there's lots of online tips so spent weekend getting wet clothes and the water out of machine and taking it all apart trying to figure out the problem.  I think I know now so off to look for the part today.  But worrying, what if that's not the right $50 part?  Sigghhh...... Yeh, I know, better than having to pay $150+ for repairman to come out.
I had the 2d RFA (Radio Frequency Ablation) procedure to my lower back.  Basically the dr sticks a big needle with aid of xrays into the nerves and inserts a probe to 'burn' the nerves from the 4 facet joints.  One side last month and other side last week.  Feels pretty good now after soreness of the jabbing has worn off.  Not perfect but much better than before.  Procedure is supposed to last 6-8 months before nerves 'grow' back.  We'll see.
Just took my vitamins and supplements.  10 different 'pills'.  Why?  Because 'they ' say we should.  But I don't feel much better.   My parents are 90ish and doing fine - they never took vitamins.  (Kinda sounds like Andy Rooney?).
Just venting...we all know how this helps.  I re-read this and realize how dumb it all sounds.  These are the worst things in my life????  :-)

Well, when you procrastinate about booking flights near holidays the price just keeps going up. Duhh again. Now not sure what to do. I guess keep checking various dates and hope I can find reasonable fare.

I did finally get my washer fixed. Friend helped and we found a bad $15 switch. And now I can probably take the washer apart in the dark. So much easier after the first time learning as you go.
