WASSSUP? I'm getting married, that's what's up!
Hey guys and gals of this great planet!
Been a looooooong time, huh? I bet you thought I fell off the Earth. Nope. I'm here! Wachoo all been up to? Give me a small briefing in comments down bellow...
OK so you might be wondering about the news, right? I met a guy last year in June. Actually we met on the internet either end of May or early June and then met up for the 1st time a couple weeks later. Anyways, we hit it off really well. Went to Kauai a few weeks after we began dating for a trip, and fell deeply in love. We have been inseparable ever since. We have steadily grown closer together since then and we have also been going to couples counseling through his pastor for about 9 months. On July 4th 2012 we booked a hotel down town for the celebration and he was spoiling me rotten. This is a guy that watches his budget and is an extreme vegan (won't eat anywhere that doesn't have extremely healthy food). We were enjoying all the different pools and hot tubs, then he reserved a table a very expensive restaurant called Top Of Waikiki (a rotating restaurant) and even asked me if I wanted to go to the Cheescake Factory!!! I was in heaven!! Guess what.... we were at the Top after we ate and next thing I know he gets down on the floor and starts fumbling around for something in his pants!!! I was like what on earth is he doing on the floor? When I saw him pull out a black box it finally hit me... "Oh MY GOD!! OMG OMG OMG!" Is all that kept coming out of my mouth. LOL. And Jeff's face started blushing. He couldn't even get the words out right. LOL. He finally popped the question and I was overwhelmed!
So ... the decision has been made that we are going to Kauai next month to elope and get the honeymoon out of the way while he has those days off from work. Jeff is a teacher and won't get time off again for a while. His family is all the way in Virginia Beach and won't make it out here till Christmas. So we decided that we will have the wedding ceremony and reception Dec 29th when everyone can be here.
In other news.....
About 4 or 5 months ago Sonnie left that church (the cult) all of a sudden. I thought this was a good thing a time. And it kind of still is. As long as he doesn't go back we should be ok. Recently I found out why he left. It was because he felt he had the right to get up and preach and they wouldn't let him. So he told them when they are ready to let him preach to call him and he will come back. He has also told my mom several times (when she invited him to her church) that he has the right to speak up against any pastor (or in his words "prophet") when they are speaking and they have to listen to what he has to say. I told a freind of mine who is a youth leader at another church and he said he thinks Sonnie may want to start his own cult. I never even thought about it that way.
My mom has been going to her church on a regular basis. She is very happy there and makes lots of friends. They keep her busy all the time. They have her painting murals and art projects for the church. She loves it. Whatever keeps her happy, I support. Don't want to see her depressed again.
Last year so many of my prayers were answered, it was unreal. Some of the biggest and hardest prayers, got answered. I couldn't believe it. All I had to do was give it up to Him and trust that He had it covered. It can be hard to do, you know... giving up control of some things that you are really fighting for. But when I did it, He blessed me with all I asked for and then after that, blessed me with way more!! I was like, "Oh You got jokes now!" I guess it was His was of saying, "Seeee...! Put your trust in me and I'll give you more! I know what I'm doing."
I have not yet joined the volunteer red cross like I thought I was gonna do. I found out recently that I could loose my medical retirement from the VA. I have to figure out what I can do.
Last year was the best year I have ever felt in like 10 yrs. My pain was at an ultimate low and my energy levels were high! This year isn't as good as last year but it's still better than the other years I've had since the back injury and FM brought it's self into my life.
Anyways.... I could write more, but I'm sure nobody wants to read anymore. LOL.
Love you guys! Take care! Hope life is great for you!!
