WARNING: Read Warning Labels On Medicine
Saturday, September 06, 2008 – 8:15 P.M. I have spent most of today doing exactly what my doctor ordered – resting. I like doing something – anything to keep busy. The two infections I have, threw me for a loop. I am used to one now and then, but not two at the same time. They really made me feel tired. My PCP brought three prescriptions. She told me I was supposed to drink plenty of fluids with one, and take the other with food. Of course, thinking I already knew everything, I tuned out the latter part, which turned out to be a mistake. About 15 minutes after taking the medicine, I had a bad reaction. I was barely able to move my arms, and felt extremely hot all over. As though it came from a long distance away, I barely heard a voice asking if I had eaten food with the medicine. I said no, I did not know I was supposed to do that. With my PCP helping, I somehow managed to get some food into my stomach. She opened my patio door to let in some cool air, which I needed. It took nearly half an hour for me to get back to normal. I doubt if I will make that same mistake tomorrow. Although I slept most of the day, I did watch one video called “There Will Be Blood.” My sister told me she had seen it, and that it was good. I thought it was a complete waste of time. I have three more videos to watch after an Indy car race in Chicago tomorrow. I also need to remember that my doctor wants me to call him. I dismissed a label on an Rx once about not drinking citrus juice with or after taking.
Big mistake.

That sounds like it was a pretty serious adverse reaction.
You must have been frightened.
Reading is a good thing.
I enjoy Daniel Day-Lewis\' work....not sure if that is how he spells his name.
He always is amazing.
Unfortunately, I found this movie to be very depressing and disheartening.
Yes, it was fascinating to see inside the mind of an individual such as the main character and others...but not for three hours.
The ending left me feeling disgusted and repulsed by that version of humanity.
Everybody else, except you and I, seemed to think it was a great movie.
Live and learn...
Big feel better hugs for you Jim take it easy hugs-Stephanie
So glad your reaction wasn\'t worse.
I liked that movie! Actually, I\'ve only told one other person this but it inspired a painting. I think I liked it because I live in oil country. It helped me to see how my own culture is based on greed.
It is a depressing movie, for sure. Way depressing. Not so good to watch if you are already depressed, I guess.
What other movies are you gonna watch?
