sitting around eating leftovers from the holidays. stuffing and cranberry, still one piece of chicken left. wow! i had a lamb chop for ME. GREEK EASTER is on MAY 5 this year, so plenty of time for the real thing if i still feel like 'where is easter' by may.
i was feeling kind of depressed because of the missing cat. i get like that, it takes a couple of weeks minimum for me to get over a missing or dead animal. plus, k was sick (he is better now, he says). i also think its because without joining the museam(s) or something similar to it, i don't remember to bother to "go out with j" which is weird that we actually NEED date night (for us its date day really). also i have a friend missing (or two) mr is financially broke right now, so she is basically hiding out anyway. its awkward when that happens, for her its more awkward because she uses money to make friends and now she is out of money. she is also in trouble because she has no medical insurance anymore, she couldn't afford it, her policy was a rip off anyway and i told her for the passed two years it was a rip off. over $1200 per month and for what? what a waste of money and what a salesman her insurance guy must be? how does he live with himself. i left her a b-day card late after she called saying it was her b-day and i left her two boxes of books donated for her book store. i was actually going to open an account at her bookstore because i have donated like 15 boxes of books there through the couple of years i've known her. but i never go where her bookstore is because its far away. she should have called or written a thank you.
however, her phone was down for about 3 weeks in march. her worker was sick and in the hospital, hope she didn't lose another person because sz just died a couple of months ago. hit by a car on her bicycle. i heard through the grapevine that mike was working the bookstore in place of her worker. so i guess he's not a "kept man" anymore. lol. (with money that doesn't belong to either one of them actually, by the way). i feel mixed about her situation because the money she spent and is now "broke" from, never belonged to her. she squandered her step kids money after her husband (of only two years) died, and i think that is disgusting and she deserves to be sued. her stepdaughter went to see a lawyer and her step son isn't suing if she gives him their house in pennsylvania, which is really just stabbing his sister in the back. there's a bunch more to that anyway.
at the same time mr offered to fund our 501 "while she had the money" about a year ago, (so she knew she was squandering) and i told her no. i don't like owing people money. even now we haven't done a 501. the animal thing is still a hobby and out of our own pockets. i think its a turn off when someone misrepresents themself anyway. she owns a bookstore, but she never reads ANY of the books. its just an item that she sells and she knows what authors sell. this horrified me as generally book store owners are prolific readers. she SAID she was back when i first knew her and first impressions always stick, but she could have been trying to impress in order to sell something. salesman and actors, not much of a difference with lack of morals with that bunch, that is fine when they are working, but when they aren't working would be nice if they became genuine.
after i knew her a year or more she admitted, its not a hobby of hers at all. so what is her hobby? most people do SOMETHING with their spare time and can chat about something? she saves animals, but you can't give her meds for them because she will buy meds, but never READ how to use them properly. wth? she is someone who needs to go with the animal to the vet a lot. grrrr. you can't do rescue that way, you will go broke. i wonder if she got rid of tv or internet yet, if she did, going broke could be the best thing for her. she goes "thrifting" for clothes, but she has soooo much clothes - like PILES of bags of clothes in her closets, for real! that its more of an addiction. she attends book sales, which she admits she has too many already, so sell off what you have in the shop and in storage and THEN go back to attending the booksales. spending money foolishly may be her hobby? then there is her visine tube which she slips into people's coffee. wtf? every time mike is ill i think to myself. did mr do something? but there isn't concrete proof and who is going to check on him. his first wife and child were killed in a car accident 25 years ago. along with his stepchild. i don't think his brother is alive either.
the other is e. we still talk, but e's step-grandson, bud and cathi all told on her about lying and forging a signature on a check that belonged to me. when she tried to fix this, she got caught anyway. i was STUNNED. even though her mother, who lived next door to us, always laughed that e could never work inside her hair shop at all because you couldn't trust her around money. the lying thing i didn't know about until dustin pointed it out because he was so outraged and couldn't live around it anymore and he and his girlfriend were living at e's house. dustin does my lawn. then her neighbor around the block from her brought it up when she was adopting molly the cat and e brought her formula to feed a newborn kitten. Is e lying MORE because she is older now, or is lying part of her lifelong behavior. some people are like that, and you can't trust anything they say, so you have to avoid them unless you want your life to become total chaos if they are around.
bud says he didn't know either, and he married her and then after he married her he discovered what goes on. he also claims its the reason her first husband divorced her. that and stealing? reminds me of my cousin up north who does the same thing and worse. a different soap opera. i actually hate soap operas. actually, i could put sh into this little group as well, so she must really love it when i vent about people like that, it would be sh as well. but its not just women who do that. its stuff like that that make people not want to be around people.
another in that group is billv's former girlfriend. he claims e tried to reissue that check through cathi's husband and had it delivered here and bill's girlfriend took the mail and kept it for herself. then on her facebook page she writes that she: "always puts others before herself." when? when not taking other people's money?
kv had done the same thing and then put the check into his pocket and washed his pants, which destroyed the check, so not just a thief but a dumb and careless thief. another one. they call that "sticky fingers" people who are always taking things that don't belong to them. we have one of those at work as well. our former supervisor was also like that at work. what an asshole to be working as a supervisor. he would admire shiftiness and say its smart and i would get outraged and say, that isn't "smart" its evil. glad he's gone.

yeah, i know. i woke up tired, which isn\'t a good thing. then i thought to myself, i want to chat and there is no one to talk to on the phone (adult, i mean). w is also gonzo. he made up things about people, got caught and is now mostly hiding. then they were discussing him in retaliation on the next street claiming he has a violent streak and the church has him hitting someone with a tree branch on their surveillance camera.
richard who had been ill, is ill again. he is still at his store, but doesn\'t seem to be around at all. that whole cluster of people is ill a lot, much more than those of us who live by the beach, makes you wonder if beach living is healthier.
so its more of a void. that is a lot of people to suddenly not be around for chit chat. i said it to another rescuer and she says mr, is no loss if she is really up to stuff. sh has been overworked for a long time and has mood swings, and is probably bipolar and i think i say things about people with bipolar because we have so much trouble with people who have that and try to do rescue.
not just a void. more like a crevice. mr, w, richard, sh (soso) and br is away right now. also of the kids, js and b are barely around for the passed two years now. i think i\'m in crisas. i also almost dread new people because EVERYONE seems okay in the beginning and then a year later, their true colors come out. would be great if people didn\'t lie about themselves at all, just leave it out if its private, but don\'t SAY you are something that you aren\'t at all. its not fair to the people around you.
my knee is healed, so if i start lessons in anything, the void should be filled. i also haven\'t seen pk for a long time, should call her for the holidays anyway. maybe she is celebrating greek easter. yay! lol.
i don\'t think the country is on an upswing. just heard another drama from relatives further north. they claim a friend of their\'s just bought a 1500 square foot house in riverside (in jacksonville) for 23,000. i have to look on line to see if its true. her husband left her to become a movie star in california. that is the SECOND one in 3 years, f\'s son did the same thing and left south florida and moved to hollywood. he actually made a couple of movies and commercials. guess he has a good agent. this friend of their\'s husband was a police officer. and i think they said he is going to \"play\" a police officer in some movie. just up and left (with a younger girlfriend actually). goes on and on. like hey babe! that\'s what they claim he left on her voice mail. no explanation just, hey babe.
Life is never dull down there. Don\'t know how you keep up to it all.

i go in the sun, but only after 3:00 p.m., sometimes, i go earlier, very brief. its lovely. but it is also cancer. after 3:00 its perfectly safe, they claim and in summer its daylight until 8:30 at least.
