Ward Round

I had a Ward Round today (meeting with the team at the hospital) they've told me they're discharging me from Daypatients in May because it's not working. They want me to start tailing my days off per week cause I'm there 5 days a week at the moment. It's because I haven't been able to keep my weight on. I can't believe they are doing this to me! I don't even know why I came home today, I should have just jumped in front of that fucking train there and then!!!

How long have you been in this treatment. That is pretty harsh to tell you you need to go because it\'s not working but maybe they are just trying a rough approach to see if that encourages you more to get better. Anyway it\'s still a while til May so give it your best to improve your health and don\'t even think about a train, girl.

Daypatients has been since September. They\'ve said my discharge is regardeless of my weight at the time.

Are you in single therapy also that has nothing to do with the clinic. I was in a program like you are for three years. It was only supposed to last 10 weeks but I didn\'t make any progress and then they said I was to much of a liability because of my low weight and told me to take a hike. So I\'m glad I have my weekly therapy. Without it I would be lost.

Yeah I will still have the weekly therapy. To do this to someone who is already feeling so hopeless and desperate though is just...I don\'t even ave any more words. I\'ve been crying all day. I just don\'t want to be here anymore!

Inpatient therapy and out- patient therapy has to be phased out so that you do not become too dependent. This does not mean that your support will stop, you have to talk to the team about \"home services\" and whats available to you in your area again, perhaps a dietician, a psychotherapist or cognitive therapist and certainly a consultant psychiatrist to oversee your continuing treatment, please do not see this as the end of your help its just a change to make sure you can manage safely. For some this can take many years and the guidelines are quite clear on this.email me anytime xxxx
