Walking Online Workouts... wow

the weather has been very cold.... that's not the problem... it's been the WIND. omg. And hubby doesn't get home until way after the sun is down so we have been walking all bundled up and have to use a flashlight. Not really a problem,... but the other night i just had to turn around and go home. The cold wind was actually making my chest hurt. and there are huge chunks of asphalt in the road. I hit one on an evening that we did not have the flashlight and i fell all the way down. good grief.

so... today... before showering... i decided to go online.

youtube had this wonderful vid channel called walking on line workouts and they are all walking in place and small aerobic step workouts... they are twenty to much longer versions. many of them. this woman is great. she does NOT talk. she just demos and the backgrounds are all in beautiful nature. I think she's in montana. I do not like the vids where they blabbbbb the whole time. it is nerve wrecking. this woman was great... i was doing a workout in my LR and I can actually travel if I want bc our kitchen and LR are open and connected... and I did a twenty minute / one mile walk. i was very very proud of myself. then i showered and got busy for the day.

it was a great way to relieve some stiffness in my shoulders and neck. no battling the cold and no chunks of asphalt . yay.

i sold my treadmill back a long time back, which i have not missed bc i would MUCH rather walk outside in almost any weather.... even snow. But I do not do wind and when my lungs hurt w/ the cold air. this was an excellent alternative that i had never even thought of.... i love the internet...

Now i can do yoga and stretch out before bedtime...
