WALKING IN A WINTER WONDERLAND
Looking out my window as I journal is a beautiful sight. I know everyone is sick of the snow and cold and I'm sure I will be complaining about it myself before long but because it snows almost everyday it is always pretty. It doesn't turn into the grayish brownish slushy crap. Right now it is all stuck to the trees because last night we got a real wet heavy snow. I also don't mind shoveling because it forces me out in the fresh air and gives me some physical activity that I would prob not get otherwise.
I am getting close to my 3 year anny as a quitter. I am pretty hopeful that I will never go back. I know I will never be safe but I have just seen too much death and devastation from the nasty skinny long smelly expensive oh and did I say smelly death sticks to feel pretty secure with my quit.
I am trying once again to lose weight!!! My son is getting married to his high school sweetheart in September and I don't want to be the fat in-law. My son's MIL to be is super skinny and in shape. I have lost 5 lbs since starting in early January. I need to tighten the belt so to speak.
My cousin Joanne was trying an alternative therapy for her lung cancer and last I heard I think she is going back to the western route. Strong chemo for now since it is inoperable. I think she just had a new port put in as the last one kept getting infected. She is putting up a good fight but it is very tough on her. All prayers would be very appreciated!!!
I am going to try this summer to meet at least one of my friends from here. I think I am driving distance to at least two.....I am just not real comfortable driving on highways yet with my left eye still fuzzy.
I think I will take Molly to a local park here today. I don't usually walk when the ground is covered and frozen but it is such a wonderland out there.......I will take pictures if I go.
Stay strong and don't smoke....it stinks!!!!
