walked to grocery store---omg!
Just got in from WALKING to grocery store on next street...got the cat his bottled water, and me two 50 cent yogurts.
Walked....cause bike broke; certainly been years for me to walk to grocery store; I even long time ago realized that what I love about bicycling is to able to zoom past people, to zoom to my destination, and zoom back to the safety of my apt.
Went to store, at 7 at night! (out so late, another major event) maybe cause I finally shaved for first time in a week; around 5 in afternoon to shave, so just had to go out cause of rare clean shaven face.
Tomorrow one week that my bike chain broke; that has certainly made me do things differently!

can you get bike chain replaced at bike store...I saw you went to Walmart to try getting new one but I don\'t think that would be carried there...but maybe online you got chance to get new chain...I looked last night at bike site in new york for a recumbant bike...it is called the bike guys I think...google recumbant bikes and it will come up...they should be able to get chain for your bike...and ship it to you....or a local store might have that ability too...
yeah, i might have to try amazon, though amazon postage and refunds arent fun.
my hometown walmart has $8 chains---though out of them. 18 miles away a couple weeks ago, that walmart had a couple dozen; accidently walked past them, as some bad omen. would have to take the trailways there.
3 heaters on during winter took a chunk out of my money; thankfully, with warmer weather, have a little more $ to play with.
I have two of same $88 dollar walmart bikes, with prior one having some little plastic cork/whatever popped out, that kept rear derailer in place; some five cent thing maybe twice as thick as a coin that is impossible to rig up.
i\'ll probably walk one of the bikes along the rr to next town where there is a bike shop for tourists; their online info has bike tune-ups that are 20 less than the bikes i bought at walmart!
