Walk MS what a blessing

I did the Walk MS on Saturday with my father and oldest son.  I found it to be an uplifting experience.  I asked my son yesterday what he thought of the walk.  We normally do the March for Babies so he was expecting some more activities and sponsors.  I explained to him this event is has not been around as long as the March of Dimes March for Babies walk and the sponsorship is a little smaller.  He told me on thing that stood out to him was that you couldn't tell who had MS.  This truly is an invisible disease. 
Reading some of the stories on the participants websites really let you see that you are not alone.  It also helped me to be more appreciative for what I have.  I'm grateful that I was able to participate and complete the 5K with my father and son.  It was encouraging seeing people participate in the zumba warm up and hear the chatter of the croud.  The sea of orange tee shirts was a beautiful sight.  Nearing the end of the route a couple had a lemonaide stand setup in their front yard with an MS tee-shirt encouraging and offering refreshments to the walkers.
I was very proud to participate and plan to do it again next year.  The donations are used to educate and provide services to those with MS as well as researching for a cure.  I pray that one day there will be a world free of MS.  But as for now it is great to know that there are people out here in this world fighting to make the current world we live in and our situations better.
