waking up decompression

I really need to get a set wake up routine back in place, this is being part of that routine. I had some normal dreams last night, brain still doing its job and breaking down reality into a bunch of image from my past. For some reason I was in highschool with people from grade school, during a snowstorm. Winter is coming lol. It was odd and I don't see a lot of meaning there, but I do know I am concerned about keeping up my current class work so I can draw that comparison line. Maybe my mind is going back to another time to draw those lines. today, I still have a decent amount of work to do. I have to accept some classes I will do well in and others, even if I put in the work, it will do ok in. Granted I know I can put in alot of extra work and I would get As in those harder classes, but is it really worth the stress. I want a nice life with a peaceful daily routine and not the high stress of trying to rip every dollar out of life. It just is not worth it. When I was younger I would dream of being ultra successful and being rich. Now my dreams are being average with decent pay and enjoying the freedom that comes along with it. People place so much on getting things, I have to, that they don't realize a more basic life can be better. It is oh look what I have, but then they work so much they never get to use what they have, or they are such foul people due to stress that no one wants to be around them. Now there are successful people that thrive in that environment, and can mange their time well, and are lovely people... I am not one of those people. It is something one could aspire to, but I will take the less stress for less pay any day. Problem is for me is I am very good at the jobs that involve the high stress and people LOVE to put me in those positions. I have to learn to say no, to that as much as possible. People are stupid, and managing lazy and stupid is too much. I am reminded of the one factory worker lady from my past. She told me she comes to work and does her job at about 50% speed and meets the quotas. Then when push comes to shove, and management asks everyone to rush something, she increases her speedĀ  and management thinks she is working extra hard and likes her for it. She said give them less than what you can so they won't always expect you to be running at 100% every single day and you killing yourself for nothing. At the time this really pissed me off because I would go into work and give my all. Now with age I see her point. The people that run the companies don't really care about you as a person. Yu could work for them for 50 years and give 100% everyday and if the bottom line on a financial statement needs to look better, they will fire you and get someone cheaper. Live your life and give of yourself to others reasonable amounts, be it work, or play. Take the rest for yourself and live.
