Waiting On Other People

So... repairs have been going on at the new-to-me house prior to closing. The plumber sent word that he was all finished yesterday afternoon. The roofer sent along the same word yesterday, just a little later on. However, only the plumber so far has sent a letter saying everything is fixed, which the lender needs. I'm still waiting on a similar letter from the roofer.

The roofer was supposed to send the letter via email by end of day yesterday, but I know he got busy. I was hoping to see it in my inbox when I logged on this morning, but no such luck. *sigh* It can be a real pain in the ass waiting on other people, chasing them around to get the job done and the paperwork filed. I'll be so glad when this nightmare is over.

There's very little standing between me and closing, but it seems the closer I get the more I have to fight through everyone else's red tape.
