Waiting for a Mission...Getting Softer
Gotta do SOMETHING this week to bring in money. The bank accounts are getting light! There's always security guard residential community gatehouse duty, which I hate, thanks to some of the asshole people there who drive up to the gate that I have to deal with, but, at $9.50 an hour for a whopping 40-hour-a-week paycheck of $270 after taxes and health/dental benefits, is SOMETHING. The security company is working on a schedule for me this week, so I'm grateful there's at least that.
The video biz that pays better is trickling in but has yet to really pick up to the point where it can support me.
Writing blog articles for Sanford-Brown through skyword is temporarily disabled until April. I may have talked myself into a steady blog-writing gig through an old high-school buddy who runs a credit data storing service. Planning to steep myself in knowledge of mortgage lending, FICA scores, etc.!
Needless to say, at almost 49 years old, I'm really sick of financial struggle. I'm sick of chasing money. I either want to win the lottery and get some LifeLock to protect what's mine so money is no longer an issue, or build some log cabin in the woods somewhere where the land and the cost of living is next to nothing. Fish for trout, pick berries, can tomatoes, etc. for food, chop firewood to make a nice fire in the fireplace to keep me warm in the winter, be off the grid as far as electricity, maybe have a gas-powered generator if I want some entertainment, own a gun to protect myself and what's mine, and be done with it until I croak.
If a lady is down for that vision, great, it would be nice to have a female companion! Good luck, right? I bet that vision would be a hard sell for most women.

There are always jobs in healthcare if you have the stomach for it :-)
Thanks, ladies. It\'s funny you mention healthcare, Aronia--I just threw a line out there to my blog-writing site, skyword.com, and my client, Sanford Brown University, who said that they\'re shifting their focus from art & technology articles to healthcare articles, saying that I would like to write healthcare-related articles for them! Healthcare IS an interest of mine.
You do have talent for writing :)
