Waiting

Our grand-daughter and son-in-law are en route to Calgary.  Their plane is an hour and a half late so we will be at the airport at midnight. It is still hard to comprehend that Lisa won't be with them.
I have had a weird day. I couldn't get focused to do much.  I did wrap some gifts.  Otherwise, I thought about everything I should be doing.
I miss the last minute scrambling - Lisa and I would be wrapping presents after midnight on Christmas Eve!  I haven't done any baking other than some bread.
On the upside we picked up our fresh turkey today and I did make cranberry sauce.  We are having our turkey on Christmas Eve - Cevyn and Harvey are going to his dad's on Christmas day.
So Christmas is coming.  We will celebrate.  I have a little corner with a candle, the little urn with some of Lisa's ashes, and her photo among the pine boughs.  She loved the hiking in the woods and living in the country.
I am babbling so it is time to go and think about what needs to be done!

So many feelings and so many memories. May we all find the courage within ourselves to carry our children in our hearts as we are present to those around us now. It is no easy task, is it? Peace my friend. Love, Joanie

I would like to say \"ditto\" to what JennsMom66\" wrote to you. It\'s such a
hard time for those of us who have earned a home with DS FMO with all the celebrations going on around us. May be all find peace as a group as we approach the upcoming holidays and as we remember those who are absent but very much alive in our hearts. Barb
