Wah, wah, wah

Hi everyone,
Sorry I haven't been on much. I have been in a "funk". Like a low level depression and feeling just exhausted. The school I work in has been a "hotbed of germs". All the kids & staff have been sick. Bronchitis, flus etc. All last week I sent staff home coz they were sick but it made for lots of extra work for me - getting subs to cover classrooms, (lots of telephone calls to the sub list at home at night).
I have been sick every long weekend I have had off since Thanksgiving and as usual, Friday night I had a huge flare up of my stomach disorder and almost went to the hospital but managed to try a few home remedies and managed to stay out of the ER. I have been on a clear diet and the silver lining is that I have lost 8 lbs, lol!
My favorite aunt, Aunt Sally passed away on Thursday. She was 89 and was a sweet, wonderful lady who always made me feel special when I visited. Her husband, my uncle, had passed away 2 years ago, a couple of months after my son. I had called my aunt at the time to give my condolences and to explain that since Ed had just passed I didn't think I would be able to manage at the services. My aunt was very kind and understood. Many years ago, they had lost a child too. My cousin Terri was killed in a school bus accident when she was 8. I am hoping I will feel well enough to go to Aunt Sally's memorial service tomorrow. I really want to go for my cousins and Ken said he'd go with me. My aunt and uncle were my favorite. In my dysfunctional family they stood out. They were kind and loving and my four cousins are going to have a hard time without them as they are all very close.
Ken continues to do better. The Topomax is helping with the heachaches. He has even had a few days without headaches!
Eddie, please show Aunt Sally around Heaven. I know God made a mansion for her already but Aunt Sally always adored you! She is now with her husband and her daughter...and you. I love you and miss you more than I can say. I think about you always and sometimes it still feels like this is all a bad dream. I will see you again one day. I love you....xoxo mom
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your promise of Eternal life. Until then I will try my best to show your love to others and be an instument of peace. Please tell Ed I love him and give him a hug for me? Thank you. In Jesus Name. Amen.
I hope all of you are doing OK and I wish you a peaceful week.
Love and hugs, Linda

Linda, I hope you will get well soon. I hate this time of year for all the germs it offers...YUCK. I am one, who like you, ends up in the ER whenever I have the flu...not good. Working around the public will always be risky.

So very sorry to hear about your aunt but you know that Ed has already introduced her around and that the mansion she has is close by to her little girl, Terri. They are all in bliss with our Lord and Savior...having a most wonderful Eternity....YAY for God\'s promises to us. It is our only comfort in this horrible grief. He is the victor over death and gave us that victory too! Much love dear friend....to you and Ed...dale, brandon\'s mom

Hoping you get out of your \"funk\" soon. Perhaps it\'s just the time of year. I\'ve felt a little in a funk myself. I\'m hoping it\'s just the time of year. So glad Ken is doing better. Stay away from that ER. You write a beautiful prayer and I too know we will see our boys again. Love to you. Robin

Oh boy do I understand the funks! Been in a bit of one myself lately. Sometimes we just need to step back...feel what we feel and then we find the strength to go forward. Taking care of yourself is so important...and I am sure something will come along to defunkify you!!! Love you bunches...Karen

Sorry for the funk...and the yucky feelings brought on by all the school bugs. My thougths are with you and Aunt Sally\'s children and entire family at this tender time. What a legacy Aunt Sally leaves the world! What a gift she was, and will continue to be to you and your cousins. To have had someone in your life, showing and teaching love, truly \"standing out\", that\'s a real gift from Spirit, and I smile with all my heart that you have had the gift of Aunt Sally in your life. Feel better my sweet and precious friend. I love you!

Linda I\'m sorry you are having these health issues. It\'s hard to keep our spirits up but even harder when we are not feeling well. Glad to hear Ken is doing better and I\'m so sorry about your Aunt Sally. You know Ed and her are together having a good old time in Heaven. Sending love and blessings your way. Terry

Linda, I am sorry that you have lost your favorite Aunt--she sounds like a gem. I instantly liked her too, when I read how accommodating she was to you when you did not think you were up to attending your dear Uncle\'s funeral so soon after Eddie transitioned. So many are so caught up and not particularly \"giving\" during such a time...she sounds so kind...
I remember my sadness getting worse when physically ill, too. All \"defenses\" are down then, it seems...And the \"bad dream\"--that was such a crappy feeling...oh so wanting it to just, in fact, be this horrible nightmare I COULD WAKE UP FROM and yet no, this was true, this was wide awake crappy reality staring me in the face here...That faded for me the more \"acceptance\" finally squeezed in to smother that out...acceptance has nothing to do with feeling ok about what happened..it was just \"accepting the reality\"--so very painful--down on my knees painful but real healing did accelerate after that most miserable of times...
Keep hanging in there, you know where Eddie really is, how he really is doing..everything we learned about Heaven is true...the NDE I had is proof and it wasn\'t some neuron misfiring because neurons misfiring don\'t cause prophetic statements that later come true..Ha! Take that one all you naysaying brain expert/ scientists! gotta love it...and YOU! Get well soon, and so glad that Ken is doing better! XOXO Donna

Your Aunt Sally... sounds like she is a precious woman and one of your cheerleaders dear Linda. I know that your being feels the passing of this beautiful woman who will forever be in your heart.

You have been through and continue to face SO much dear Linda. Sometimes our bodies and spirits simply say, HALT! And... with the germs, sickness and being tired comes the depression. You are not alone in feeling this way as I have had more moments of the blahs too this month and think it is something that many of us cycle through in January and then add to that mix the grief, Ken\'s health situation and life in general.

You do what you can and just as your status says, \"My best is enough.\"

Hoping that glimmers of light, love and healing continue to find YOU and that Ken\'s headaches remain manageable and that his health and well-being are restored.

Again, my heart is with you as you remember your dear Aunt Sally and your handsome Ed.

Lots of love always,
Joanie

I think we all tend to hibernate emotionally and physically on these darkest days of winter. As you said, germs abound and it seems that everyone is sniffling and sneezing. And then not feeling quite up to par physically drags us down emotionally ~ then FUNK!

So sorry to hear about your beloved Aunt Sally. I hope that you will feel up to attending her service, though more because it will mean that you are feeling better ~ your Aunt Sally knows how much you love her and she will understand either way.

Great news to hear Ken is doing so much better ~ nothing like a day without a headache to make life seem more worthwhile!

Sending lots of love and big warm hugs to you and sweet Ed ~ Debbie

I am sorry to here of your loss....doesn\'t it just seem like it was just yesterday that our boys left us way to early in this life...I am glad to hear Ken is feeling better...i hope he has a great doctor...My sister had a brain tumor and when they removed it the doctor came out and told us that what they called a netting was surrounding it and still attached and if it did not break down on it\'s on he would have to leave it...within 15 min it was completely broke down...we were so happy...Her tumor was very large..but it has been around 14 years now..her doctor was in Cinn, Oh....he was good...that is always scary surgery on anywhere but it sounds scary on the brain...I hope that Ken\'s does not grow and the meds help //will keep him in our thoughts and prayers.
