Week
My supervisor at the church is not up to her full potential. She really pissed me off this week as well as my other co-worker. We have a kid who displays autism, or some form of it, and he escaped while we were doing a difficult task, which was trying to make beaded necklaces for the kids. He is generally out of control anyways, but this time he found a way out. The mother, of course, was furious, but only for a day or so, and she is a fellow co-worker of mine too, so it could have went out of hand as is. She confronted me when I was changing a poopy diaper Wednesday morning, which I felt was very unprofessional, and could have been approached differently. These were her key points: always teach something when you are with the kids, and keep your radar on at all times. The thing is she is never there in a classroom observing what is actually taking place, and her curriculum and crafts are always above the age level for the kids. I was in the 2-3 year old room, and we had up to 5 years of age in there, which was about have the children. No wonder why we couldn't keep track of them!!! We also had a kid who defies authority a lot too, so we had to keep an extra eye on him, although he did make some improvement. The other issue is that she got one side of the story instead of hearing all sides of it, so when she was talking to me, I wasn't even listening because her timing was way off, which later on that night we ended up having a meeting without her present with the shift leader that also has recieved a lot of grief from her this week too. It felt like another slap in the cheek when this was done, and I was even more angry at her because everything was out in the open, when it didn't need to be. The solutions are quite simple: split up the kids according to age, have an extra person in the room, evaluate and spend more time with your workers, get curriculum and crafts that better fits the age levels, get the entire story before confronting, and take some psychology/leadership classes. These are major things that need to be improved upon on her part. She always tries to find something wrong with me, and I can at least laugh about it because of the amount of education and experience that I have, but it does not excuse her of her behavior. Any suggestions? Oh, I landed a full-time job with Convergy's. I will be starting sometime next week. I need to complete the drug test today, and pass with flying colors, then I can begin. So, my church schedule is going to need to revolve around it, which will be quite interesting. Thank you for your prayers. I tested my supervisor today by not showing up to work. I knew that I wouldn't lose my job, but wanted to test her on how much she cared for us workers. Yes, she cares, but I don't think fully, if you know what I mean based off of what I wrote above. Until then, I will put up with her crap, and she will have to put up with mine. Love ya.

I don\'t have any suggestions but as a single mom I can really appreciate all the effort you put into the children. My son is going through the kicking/biting stage... any suggestions for me?
i have a newphew who has atuezem.
He lovs to \"excape\" but the trick is to find out what they like doing most of the time it is climbing or somthing with the hands that they can feel. The attention spand of the child is short and wontbe able to do beading so maby if you superviser is willin to help this child and workers arrange other tivities he likes or ask the parent what he likes to do. Special needs children are hard to cope with some times and need extra attention.
Good luck with ur new job
