VP Shunt

Hi had a vp shunt on the 29th of March in Addenbrokes hospital Cambridge UK,i think i got lucky.I say that, i have been going through some issues with hedaches,pressure in the brain nearly passing out now for some Two and a half years now.Slowly got worse over time,i did suffer from Meneingitis,Encaphalitis,sarcodoisis and had a virus that they didn't even name,well it had no name...

My symptoms started with headaches,which in turn turned to heavy heads and not being able to concentrate or even walk properly,ambulance would be called,i would be taken to hospital,Lumber Punctures were performed i would get better and be given pills and tried with steriods,sent on my way only return the same way some time later,the longer the time frame from start to finish the shorter the period i was out of the hospital.

I went in under the idea i was suffering from an infectiion from the Meneningitis and was to be treated so,fortunately i took another turn which alerted the doctors to pressure on the brain because if they had treated me for this infection i might not have survived,since they have been treating me with pressure on the brain i have been well,no headaches and little side effects.

I am very happy with the Doctors,surgeons and especially the Nurses who looked after me for my 2 month stay.
