Voter Registration, Day 1
So today my boss, Carol, and I talked about what she wants me to do for the new voter registration that we are starting at the clinic. I put together a Power Point presentation about elections, what happens when we send off the applications and such. I did about half of what I wanted to do. I didn't want to make this whole big presentation and then have Carol say it's not what she was looking for. She was busy with other things when I was there, and so she didn't have time to do it then. I left early... it was raining like crazy outside and there was a thunderstorm warning as well, so when the weather broke I went home. Geo and I basically watched TV all day. I took a 2 hour nap and I regret that now because I'm not tired and it's getting late. I still have to clean the litter box, take a shower and brush my teeth. I don't know if I'm going to wash my hair tonight. I have "ethnic" hair so if I wash it every day it dries out. But when I wash my hair at night and go to sleep I wake up with really poofy hair and I have to wet it again to get it to go down. I swear, I have the perfect hair for the 80's with all the volume I have.
Tomorrow we are going to have to go to the Cadillac dealer to get our car looked at. Some buttons work (like to move the seats back at forth) but most don't. We can't roll down our windows, the auto door lock doesn't work, the gas gauge and other things on the console don't work, but the speedometer works so we can drive it. But having to drive in the hot Miami summer (in the high 80's now) with no air conditioning and the windows up is torture. Geo's dad checked all the fuses and put in a new battery and nothing helped. We have a check engine light going, but when we took it in to Auto Zone they tried to see why and their machine said the car was fine (no repair codes came up). So we are taking it to the dealership because that's the only option we have right now. I hope the problem can be fixed, but I don't know if it's going to be worth it to keep the car or just sell it. I don't think I could get a new (used) car, so it would be back to the bus for us. I hate going grocery shopping on the bus. I bring a large rolling suitcase and load all the groceries in there to take on the bus on my way home. It gets old fast. I'm just hoping for good news tomorrow.

Hey Larissa, honey. Send some of that nice weather up to Canada. Ontario to be precise. We are still in the low teens. Get that car fixed, free of charge too. I had problems with my Toyota and they fixed it free of charge. A new transmission, and then the muffler too. You have to stand firm and tell them you know how cars operate. Hugs.
