Volunteer Surfing
I still need to fill that volunteer slot which, herstorically, has always served as my most effective isolation breaker. This round continues to focus on dragging my light phobia out into the open in such a way that I can break its retina scorching grip on my psyche.
Astronomers seem to be the most proactive campaigners for dimming our enthusiastic night light habits. Slowly, they seem to be merging with biologists who empathize with its effects on nature's nocturnal children.
Academic under-achiever that I am, both groups are intimidating to me. My collective experience with the acronymically endowed populations of the world has not been great.

this is so true ... i have this info in my head too ..dont remember where it came from but ... the low level lighting (yellow lights)in the city was mandated due to the astronomers need to peer more effectively into the night sky... i was homeless for ten years in the 90\'s and wandered the streets at night... i remember that in the quiet dim lit gloom, the city by night seemed like an Alien world to me...
this journal entry of yours is like a beautiful poem... i draw in tranquil comfort in reading it ... thank you so very much
i just hope i haven\'t ruined it with my comments
