visted Family Graves Today.

I visited my parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters graves today and decorated them.  I also listened to the American Legion speaker has he conducted his part of the service.  Dad has been gone 31 years and mom 11.  I was blessed with wonderful parents and they both lived to be in their 90's.  Dad was a minister and a vocalist and mom was his pianist.  They served in the ministry for over 30 years together.
As I look back through the years now, I have been a minister and Pastor longer than my dad was. My how the years have flown by.  As I grow older myself, I see young people getting married, having nice church weddings, going on honeymoons, etc.  My wife and I were married in my dad's living room, by my dad and my sister and brother-in law were our witnesses.
During my young years, I made some terrible choices and endured some very hard consequences.  The have helped shape me into what I am today.  People often doubt my sincerity and the driving force behind me.  I do what I do because this is where God wants me and what God wants me to do.  If I can help somebody along this pathway of life, then I have accomplished what the Lord has called me to do.
Tomorrow, I visit the local Nursing home and Wed., I take my ailing sister to the hospital for tests.  Thursday, I make jail visits but, I love what I do.    I am truly blessed.
