Visited Nursing Home today.
I visited the local nursing home today where my sister is. I have visited there, every Monday, for the past 4 years. I do piano concerts once a month for them and I also fill in and do devotions for them as well.
I plan on making hospital visits tomorrow. I have some friends there and I always visit the hospital when I know there is someone there I know.
Made a few CD's today for friends who are shut-ins and for those who missed last Sunday's service. I am starting a message library of my messages. I wish I could have done this type thing, 36 years ago, when I first started preaching.
Otherwise, I am doing pretty good. I am off all medications now and have been for over a month. The withdrawals have subsided and overall, I am doing good. I told the owners of the bldg. we rent each Sunday, that I would like to have each Sunday scheduled through June of 2012, if that was agreeable with them. They were elated that I wanted to continue renting their facility. I told them if we did get a bldg, of our own, I would give them a 30 day notice.
I haven't been on DS much the past couple of weeks. With the death of my sister and the funerals I've done. I have kind of taken a small break.
Next week, I go to the long term care at a local hospital and do a piano concert for them. I am also getting ready for our candlelight service, Christmas eve. as well.

Hi PeeWee, I have been taken off my meds also, the detox was something else, glad to see you made it thru. Happy to hear you have a church again, as this is in the cards for you my friend. PRAISE GOD THAT THE WITHDRAWLS ARE PRETTY MUCH GONE AND THAT YOU ARE GOING TO BE ABLE TO RENT THE BLDG STILL. I KNOW IT MEANS SO VERY MUCH TO THOSE THAT ARE IN THE NURSING HOME FOR YOU TO COME AND PLAY FOR THEM. I USE TO WORK IN A NURSING HOME AND THE RESIDENTS JUST LOVED IT,.
