Visit to Columbia Presbyterian
Went down to NYC yesterday. Got my stitches out and a clean bill of health. Don't have to go back for 6 months. YEAH! Still do not have the results from my PET scan. Will have to wait until Monday. I called to reschedule my Monday appointment due to another impending snow storm. 6-12", oh boy, can't wait LOL.
Right now it's 9 degrees outside and I am glad I am inside. Have a lot of things I want to do this weekend. My weekly to do list. If I get half of it done I will be happy.
After walking around the hospital yesterday I got quite a workout but it felt great not being pushed in a wheelchair. The doc said he wants me to walk everyday for 1 hour on the treadmill and loose 20 pounds by the next time I see him in 6 months. So that is my goal for the next 6 months. Can't start the treadmill until I know how much oxygen I will need. I will know that when I start rehab. I'm sure it won't be 25 liters.

Wow, that is great that you are healing. Bet it was great being able to walk around. Really cold in Iowa too. Looking forward to summer:) Admire your courage--keep us posted!
