Victim Mentality x+1%

I found a group online called "self-sabotagers and misery addicts anonymous." Here's what I wrote in the "contact us" field:
" I am indeed a misery addict, not tongue-in-cheek or "I occasionally get down in the dumps when unpleasant things happen." I'm 47 and no closer to living the life I want for myself than when I was 20-something. I lived a lot of my young adulthood "chasing rainbows and fairies." Although one good thing to come out of it was learning I was an alcoholic. But even with that realization, I noticed I was different from other alcoholics. Not "terminally unique", but watching others grow and recover to the point I felt like I was standing still. Over the years, I figured out I self-sabotage. I'm still doing it. Even this morning, 11/24/14, I couldn't get myself out of bed. Knowing full well I am "snoozing" my life away. There's more, so much more, and I am so frustrated. I need help. I don't want to die cold and alone."

Thanks, I\'ll check it out. I come to DS to work on my problems. I find it to be a food place to vent. What do you use it for?
