when we ....got to Vancouver island ...and my sister picked us us she was telling us dad was having a good day so we would be able to have a good visit with him .....but by the time we got to her house witch wasent long ....he was in bad shape ....we only had two days ..that he was good ...and we took him out to supper ...he enjoyed that ..but was exosted after that ...he gets exosted just getting from his bedroom to the kitchen table ...or out side on to the port has .....he has info seams ...so he has very little lung capacity left ...they can't give him oxegin because what lungs he has left is producing oxegin ..so it wouldent help ....it is like he is suffocating ..to death ...that hit me hard ....he told me he was realy suffering ..and that he gesed he would be suffering for a long time ....sometimes when he was at his worst he would say that he couldent take it any more .....he talked to my sister about uthanisa ..but has not asked for it ......and all we could do was sit with him ..talk with him ...if he had the wind to talk ...you can't hug him ....it hurts him ...there is nothing left to him ....so I hugged him very jently befor I left ...........I am very happy I went to see him ....I needed that ....I love my father ...and we have always been very close .....I am saving up money just in case he wants me to come back ....

Oh sweetie, I am so, so sorry what your Dad is going through. I cannot imagine what it must feel like to not get a really good deep breath. And for not being able to get oxygen must be very frustrating.
My heart goes out to him and to you as well. It must be such a trying time for everyone. And that is just not right that he cannot be helped. I know that there MUST be some doctor out there that has an answer!
He should not be suffering like that!! God bless his precious heart.
Carly\'s right, there must a dr who can make him more comfortable at least. No one should suffer that much when you think of all the medicine and treatments we have today.

thankyou .everyone ...there aren\'t enough doctors to get him a nother doctor ...you can\'t even get on a weating list unless you don\'t have a doctor ....we tried that ...and ..it isent the same in every province ...and ware he is there isent much they will do for any one ..in that situation ...it is very said ....however my dad has had some better days ..since my brother and I visited him ...so I just hope he has more good days than bad days ....thankyou .everyone ..God bless you all
