Very Upset
I have off today and decided to go out for a while to ease some of the anxiety I have been feeling. So I decided to go grocery shopping. I went to the local store, I took the bus there. Did my shopping, I even helped an older lady get something off the top shelf of the candy aisle. I was walking down there and she was trying to get something off the top shelf. She told me she had been looking for Jolly Ranchers candy, that wasn't the package she had been trying to get down. I spotted it and gave it to her. She couldn't thank me enough. You ever hear the expression "No good deed goes unpunished?" I left the supermarket after I'd paid and took the shopping cart as far as I could, I had a tote bag and it was a bit heavy. And I had to walk down the block to get back to the bus stop to go home. So I'm walking down the street, and I spot a small shopping cart lying next to the sidewalk in the grass. And I thought I'd use it to help me get the rest of the way to the bus stop. I don't usually do that and it was just sitting there. So I used it. And just as I was about to get to the corner where the bus stop is some guy walking in the opposite direction read me the riot act on how that wasn't MY card, it belong to the supermarket and told me I was committing a felony.

Oh no, What happened after that? You should get one of those Pull Grocery Carriers, don't think they are that expensive. Gentle Hugs!
Thanks Brooke. I usually go shopping with my friend, but she had plans today. I could have managed with my bags, but I just happened to see the cart sitting there to the side and used it.
Did you get charged, or dump it. The threat would of sent me reeling!
big caring hugs, sent with our love :) Dear Linda, i'm so sorry, that you had a rough experience on the way home., i know it's upsetting when you have that happen, especially after having a positive experience. the guy could have been more kind about things, and he could have offered you help. You were very, kind, and sweet to help that lady at the store. Continue to put the positive energy out there, it will come back to you, in good positive energy ways :) sending our best wishes, always :) keep your chin up, you made that woman's day, and that is a wonderful thing to be proud of :)
Ouch some people just have no empathy/compassion anymore!
I know all too well about grocery shopping on the bus as that's my means of transportation (cabs/uber is too expensive). Some people ask why I still have baby in the stroller when I go (he's 4) and it's because the bus stop is at a very busy street and I'm not going to take the risk of him running away from me.
The time it took for him to give you the 3rd degree he could've asked if you needed a ride home or to town to catch the bus. Hope you feel better soon :)
Oh my. So sorry. Everything seems to be messed up. Don't blame you for using the cart. There's no harm in it. Some people are just rude. Hope things go better. God bless.
Dont let that person get to you. Some people are fast to critisize and there closet is full of skeletons
Don't worry about it. You were just trying to survive. They have similar rules here because some people take the shopping trolleys all the way home. I hope you weren't charged. That would definitely cause worry. Anyway, you were just being practical due to your physical limitations. Feeling for you. Hugs xo
Thanks everyone. Gregsbaby, I wouldn't accept rides from any strangers. Luckily he kept on walking and disappeared. I don't know what his problem was and I don't want to know. I hope I never run into him again.
