Very stressful week
Hi friends, been a little sick and depressed, worried. It's a real Murphy's Law week. Everything that could go wrong DID go wrong! I called into the pharmacy to get refills of my meds. I got a recording that said my prescriptions could not be re-filled at this time because my meds were OUT OF STOCK~! How can a pharmacy allow themselves to completely run out? When they finally got the meds, I couldn't get to the pharmacy because the senior van was already booked up. The next day the SNAP Program (food stamps) announced that there was an error and everybody's card was declined! These days we are dependent on people and machines. Human error and computer error can mean the difference of having money/medicine or NOT having them! Then we got a notice that they are inspecting our apartments tomorrow so I had to CLEAN. Tomorrow morning I go to grocery shop, then they come to inspect my apartment. If I pass inspection, that's a load off my mind. And if my brother-in-law can pick up my meds after church this coming Sunday and bring them to me, I'll finally sigh with relief! Till then, GRRRRRRR. Nerves are jangled, emotions are tangled!

Freaking crazy I agree the system really sucks....The little guy is getting the fast shuffle and I can only see it getting worse. We all have to speak up and let our representatives know that we are not happy......Sorry to hear Judy and sorry for my ranting but I see and hear to much of this.....

Geezzeee you're te econd person who has been at th mercy of 'out of stock' and up the creek! Not right! A call to top honcho is in order, explaining All The Challenges because of pharmacy not being stocked...As for food assistance, do you have local churches or organizations which can help until the mess is cleared up? dear Judy, sending positive energy. i'm so sorry it's been a stressful week for you. keeping you in my thoughts, and prayers, hoping things get situated, and settled, and more balanced with the days ahead. i know these stressful weeks can take a lot of out us. be sure to treat yourself to some peaceful time this upcoming weekend :)

Yes, I agree stressful. Last week I called my pharmacy to get a repeat & they faxed it to the wrong doctor, saying I had to see this person I didn't even know. I went without my meds 3 days. I was in tears, until they finally listened to me. Didn't even apologize. It's so hard to get a live person. I hope your meds & food gets to you asap. Gentle Hugs!
Thank you, dear friends, for your support. Today I went grocery shopping and was able to use my SNAP card. For now, that is resolved. My apt. was inspected this afternoon and I passed! Now if my brother-in-law picks up my meds on Sunday, that's the last remaining SNAFU to get straightened out. I was lucky that I had a few extra pills and that I wasn't totally out (like the stupid pharmacy). Life is crazy enough w/o having to deal with other people's negligence. Again, thanks for the positive vibes you guys were sending me!

i had to sign in a second time to make a comment? is this a new thing with ds? sorry to hear of all the troubles. out of stock and out of food because of error is not okay at all. is there a food co-op near you or a church that gives out food or meals nearby? how often do they "inspect" your apartments. wow! i didn't even know they did things like that. no wonder people opt for trailer parks instead. probably for the privacy. hope everything works out. xxoo
