Very scared
HI everyone,
Well I thought this would never happen. That we'd have a tyrant in the White House. One of the things that affects me personally is the is repealing Obamacare. I just got myself checked out, did all kinds of the usual tests women get. And I got a clean bill of health. I would not have been able to afford those tests if not for the insurance that I currently can afford.
I think most of us are scared.

Baby and me have medicaid and hope he doesn't mess with that or Obamacare! Also hopefully he'll leave Social Security and any other government assistance we need for survival! I don't know what folks were thinking! I guess it was the gazillionaires of this "great" country. Let's pray 4 years zoom by real fast!!

I too am devastated that this tragedy has befallen our country. This man has not laid out any plans, however, he made a few things clear: that it is OK to treat women as objects, that minorities don't count, that he will appeal Obamacare and will create something "bigger and better"...
I feel like I will have PTSD from this happening and in fact did not sleep the night of the election and slept poorly last night. I think that there are many peaceful gatherings forming. I believe that to do our part we need to become politically active as women, as human beings, as parents and grandparents, as people of color, and as U.S. citizens. This is sort of like Brexit in the sense that many people did not vote and were stunned with the result of the vote. Time for us to wake up or I believe that our nation will never repair itself to be able to serve all people in our nation. I have been reading about ways to cope and self care and support are vital. I wish there was a group on DS to allow a place and space for people to process the outcome of the election and to support each other going forward
