Very early mornings.

Are you a morning person? If not, how do you handle it? All tips and tricks are welcome because I need them all.

i am a 24/7 gal. what hours i am awake all depends on where the action is.

back when i was trying to choose between the either/or cliques of morning/night people, my insomnia was horrific.

Arfie, when you have to be up very early a lot of the times, is it ever difficult for you? If so how do you handle it/ make it better?

Let’s say for example Arfie, if you’re up all night due to horrible insomnia and must be up early, very early in the morning, how do you handle that?

I take a minute breather, close eyes and breathe to relax the muscles, then use a cool cloth on my eyes and face.

I use the breathing to stay calm and able to focus as needed.

Thanks Mid that’s helpful to know. Do you drink coffee? I don’t but am thinking maybe I should. I don’t because even though it wakes me up I end up crashing and ultimately feeling jittery.

i rely heavily on coffee and will implement the coffee intake with carob-coated espresso beans which i chew as needed. the beans are much easier on the urinary tract than brewed coffee. be the psychic dysfunction of the day insomnia or something else, i use a rosary as a grounding talisman which i wear wrapped around my wrist to simultaneously remind me to use my grounding exercises and that i am operating under a handicap. be extra gentle with myself.

getting the "horrible" out of the insomnia helped me considerably. the agonizing over the insomnia exhausts me more than the insomnia, itself. restful activities, such as journaling, crafting and reading help me rest as far as possible. is it ironic that i often miss those extra hours since healing far enough that i no longer suffer insomnia?

Thanks for your input Arfie. You’re a strong individual and that’s admirable.

I love the smell of coffee, but I do not drink it. However, if caffeine is a problem for you, then it would be a no.

What Arfie shares about insomnia is so, so true. Finding a way to make it work for you takes effort, and is worth it when you get something that helps you.
