Very busy week prior to trip.

What a week for me. Yesterday, I went to the Nursing Home and visited the residents and my sister, Yesterday, I did some odd jobs for my wife and yesterday evening, I went to our semi-monthly Lion's Club meeting.  This Morning, I went for breakfast, came home, checked my wife's hot tub.  Redid the mountings of my Saddle Bags on my Harley, went to the river and got water from the spring. I then mounted the flags on my Harley, went outside and cleaned my waterfall.  Tomorrow, I leave for Arkansas for a 3 day visit, coming back Friday afternoon, Friday evening we are invited to dinner at some friends house, for my birthday.  Saturday we travel 80 miles round trip and clean 2 businesses. Sunday I have my regular duties and Monday, I leave on my Harley for a trip to West Virginia/Virginia. Sunday afternoon will be packing my tour pack and strapping everything down on my Harley so I can leave early Monday morning around 6 am.  I realize rain will slow me down if I encounter it but, I have rode many, many miles in rain and if it isn't lightning, I am confident riding in the rain unless excess wind causes it to blind me and, in that case, I would pull off and wait it out.
I am so looking forward to this trip.  I haven't taken a motorcycle trip like this since 1969.
I used to burn the road up then but, I was 25 years old then too!!!!  I am not going to push it but, I hope to make 400 plus miles a day.  We'll see how this turns out.  I have been needing this "get away" for quite some time, moreso lately.  I realize if I don't go now, bad weather could affect me and would be more dangerous.  I am not getting any younger either so, while I can, I need to take this trip.
