Ventventvent....
I'm glad I have this place to vent bc it is not helpful for me to do so anywhere else...
I went to TOPS meeting today. Take Off Pounds Sensibily. There are guidelines about what we can and cannot do there. We are not allowed to EAT there. Ok. I get that. We can't bring any other "curriculuar" activities that have to do with any other group there. WE can't try to "sell" things there.
I respect that.... BUT we had a lady today do an hour and a half presentation on her missions work in Africa. I was NOT HAPPY. I was downright pissed. I did not want to attend church today. I wanted a TOPS meeting. Then she had the audacity to ask for DONATIONS to her mission to Africa. I was mad... but I've learned that it is let go or be dragged... and she is moving. So... we will no longer see her. She is also the one that ratted us out bc we were eating fruit and protein bars in the meeting. I was P>O>ed... but oh well. I do not really care for ppl that think that their religion is everyone's religion... and that YOU are wrong if you do not believe their way.
I just do not have a tolerance for that kind of crap any more. So... there... Now I can vent without having to say anything to the director. I know she SAW on my face what I thought... we are best friends and she knows my feelings about things like that... no need to repeat it. And it was just one time. So,... all is welll.
Thank goodness for my journal so that I can vent and not hurt anyone's feelings. Feelings and opinions are not always fact. But... I am glad the woman will be GONE.
Enough venting. ty for listening.

I'm pissed with you, Ginger. That is a gnarly breach of support group protocol. I support mission work, etc., but not during my psychotherapy hours. I don't hold support group meetings during Mass or political rallies, either. There is a time and place for everything.
I hope you don't let it throw you off your program, Ginger. SNAFUs happen. I also hope the venting helped.
