Ventage

This isn't the worst day I've ever had, but it's been kind of a frustrating one, so I'm gonna vent!

- big traffic back-up on the connector, due to a key traffic light being on the fritz
- so I get to the car dealer for service late, which means I'm going to be late for work (not a biggee, but still)
- some new guy is at the dealer & my car history for some reason is not on the computer, so I had to re-explain what was going on & what needed to be done
- one guy I work with asked me to take action on something. When I asked a clarifying question on it, he made it waaaaayyy more complicated than it needed to be.
- speaking of that guy, he paces frequently in his office as he talks on the phone, which is sometimes distracting. But today he started pacing OUTSIDE his office.
- I had a conflict via IM with another coworker last week about something she was asking me to do (although I still don't see what it is she's asking me to do, other than to put this non-action on follow up). So I found that she printed out this whole conversation. (Well, I learned not to be snippy via IM)
- my husband never picks up the phone. The car is ready & I'm going to need a ride to the dealer at the end of the day.
- a particular issue I'm working on at work is going in this continuous circle of non-resolution. And the only person who can even begin to resolve this for me is Mr. Pacer...

OK, I think that's it...Out of my system!

Did anything good happen today? Yes: I finished Leslie Vernick's book. Great stuff. In another post I'll summarize some of the points that "jumped out" at me. There are a few exercises suggested in the book that I want to do, so I'll be following up with that. But now that I'm finished, I'm going to resume my lunchtime walks, which I really need.
