Vent. Oh, Well
I'm still so upset about the silly email. I had had the same address for 12 years with Microsoft outlook express. I love being able to download my emails and read/look at them without going online. So much for that. A couple of weeks ago, I had spent a couple of hours setting up a private online account with my primary doctor that would save me energy, time and gas money. That's shot now. If I can do a new account, it'll be make an appointment and start from scratch. All of my old contacts are gone. I'll have to re-establish everything. My daughter, who lives 30 miles away, is almost as upset as I am. My email hadn't been down a full day when she called to tell me something was wrong with it. She's still fretting over it --- not so much the email as me being upset. She don't like it when her laid back, easy going mama gets upset.
What gets me the most, though, is I know where I stand with my husband. He's gotten really good at ignoring me, or just snorting and blowing me off. The email just confirmed my feelings that I don't count anymore. He doesn't even remember me asking if the new satellite would affect my email, and he got mad when I told him that I asked, and they said my email wouldn't be affected. I asked several times, because he and the tech guy kept cutting me off. He doesn't see what the big deal is anyway. Oh, well.
On the brighter side, the weather guessers say there's a bad winter storm headed our way. Ice. and more ice. Bad roads, power outages...... That's okay. We have wood heat and kerosene lanterns. I kinda like ice storms. They make great photographs. We had an ice storm in 2009 and I got some great photos just in my front yard. If we do get the ice, I plan to have the energy to get out and do some walking with my camera in tow. Gotta make the best of a bad situation, with both ice storms and CFS.
I plan on making lasagna for supper tonight. If the electricity goes out, I may have to get creative. But it won't be the first time. We'll see. The weather guessers are often wrong.
Now, away I go to my Lortab bottle. I have a 3-day migraine that's getting really bad at the moment. I think a little stress can trigger both CFS crashes and debilitating migraines.

I totally understand why you are upset! My email is my lifeline to a lot of things, and I don\'t think I\'d even be able to duplicate my contact list. I\'m sorry that your husband didn\'t realize how much it mattered to you to have it functioning. My husband can definitely be the same way - selective hearing and selective memory. I hope you get some great pictures. Praying your migraine lets up soon.
