Digging further into the vault, serving up ‘Beg to Differ’ and ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’. The limelight shifted to the ‘Alpha House’, released earlier this month, with the debut album landing at No.3 on the UK official charts. Do your absolute best not to compare yourself to others.

The content, however, just feels a bit too similar to Tana Talk 3 and other previous projects, thus preventing the album from cracking into my top 10. Such beats involve recognisable samples like Stephanie Mills’ 1989 track ‘Something In The Way ’. (2000’s use of samples, in fact, eventually caused a month-long delay to the album’s release).
Remember, that one of the principle reasons for stemming is to give your music editor (or you!) half a chance to re-edit a cue if there are big picture cuts after the recording is over. So keep solo melodic lines separate from the orchestra where possible and also consider separating melody from counter-melody. Whilst most of this table is self explanatory, it is an instant colour coded visual aid to you and the mixer of how things are going and what tasks lay ahead.

For this month’s show, they we showcase the Future Bubblers 3.0 album in its entirety and focus on the inspirations of the artists featured. We’ll be joined by Y6 Bubbler valetgifts Jericho Noguera who’s celebrating the release of his latest EP. He’s also come through with a guest mix of music he was inspired by over the writing period. Trance music has a significant effect on the subgenre of techno known as melodic techno. Compared to regular techno, melodic techno frequently places more emphasis on melodic progressions. It moves at a slower pace than trance, typically between 120 and 125 beats per minute, and uses softer percussion inspired by minimal techno. Think about working with a producer to get the music you’re after.

A Clipse reunion to close out a near-perfect tracklist makes this feel like a full circle moment in Push’s career, and whilst not as tight as 2018’s Daytona, the project still features some of Pusha’s strongest work to date. Add the fact the album went number one, and Push has the world at his feet. Denzel has also begun to slightly venture into other genres, recruiting the likes of T-Pain to create a more pop-rap sound, and even attempting it himself on ‘X-Wing’. Perhaps what prevents Melt My Eyez… from ranking higher for me is the fact Denzel is too focused on content, which sometimes seems to take away from the technical aspect of rap. This is still an exceptional project from one of the best album curators of rap’s newer generation. It’s therefore a genuinely pleasant surprise to hear Drake actually sound like he’s hungry with something to prove when he raps on Her Loss.

Claiming to have invented horrorcore and certainly influencing a generation, Kool Keith is a stand-out figure in hip hop. The Cannibal Clown, or Shawn, to his mum, is a multi-talented South Australian rapper, actor, composer and producer who has broken into the almost impenetrable U.S horrorcore scene.
Each was a project realised through lockdown and the slow emergence from it, and we are so grateful to everyone who made them possible. What isn’t given as much consideration is what we do about the carbon dioxide we have to produce. Let me turn your attention to cement, the most utilised material on earth after water.
