Valentine day memory
Happy valentines to Craig.
I remember last year you asked my sister to make two cupcakes. One with a bee on it and the other mine. You had to collect them from the recycling bin (cakes in a box) while I was at work and left them on the side for when I got home. I also found a card that you forgot to sign too. I remembered you telling me how much you love me and how soft you were getting in your old age. You made my heart melt ten times over.
I miss you so much. Love you always xxx
My sister wrote this to me today.
Feel no guilt in laughter, he'd know how much you care.
Feel no sorrow in a smile that he is not here to share.
You cannot grieve forever; he would not want you to.
He'd hope that you could carry on the way you always do.
So, talk about the good times and the way you showed you cared,
The days you spent together, all the happiness you shared.
Let memories surround you, a word someone may say
Will suddenly re-capture a time, an hour a day,
That brings him back so clearly as though he were still here,
And fills you with the feeling that he is always near.
For if you keep those moments, you will never be apart
And he will live forever locked safely in your heart.
