Vaccine Clinical Trials

Vaccine clinical trials assess the safety and efficacy of a new vaccine medicine as well as its ability to provoke an immune response. Vaccine clinical trials may also assess how well the product does with existing healthcare delivery systems, such as national immunization programs.  Vaccine clinical trials are a very important source of data for decisions around vaccine development. There is a new model for influenza clinical research, called the Influenza Challenge Model or (Human Challenge Model), in which a group of volunteers are administered an H1N1 virus, and observed as flu symptoms progress. Then, they are given a treatment to cure the symptoms. Being able to observe and analyze the lifecycle of the virus within human subjects has produced valuable results and insight into developing viable vaccines for the illness, to combat both common cases and global outbreaks alike. There are only a few locations where such a model can be implemented throughout the world, and, to my knowledge, only one within the United States.Pharmaceutical research tends to be an iterative rather than a linear process. Knowledge gained through vaccine clinical trials results often informs further research on the product, until it is deemed ready to go on to the next phase or is rejected as a candidate.I really love to study science but I'm also attracted to other interests especially biology and working out at the health club. The research I am doing these days is centered mostly on medical discoveries and it's my objective to explain these different procedures. I have a deep belief in the power of clinical research and believe that more people should look into ways to actively participate.  These explorations through the scientific landscape at this time has advanced me to a considerable appreciation of the content. I think it takes a specific kind of human being who can respond to a few of the more penetrating queries that certainly crop up in this process. I'm not sure if I'm imminently qualified it's my desire that these types of columns are successful in some way.
