vacation
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to check in on all of you. When I leave home I continue to think of each of you.
We had a good time at the beach. Did not love all the heat from the sun but we were with friends and that makes up for it. The temp was over 100 each day we were there.
We went to the annual Mustang Week at Mrytle Beach. This was our 4th year and we all stay at a beach resort that is close to the show. Steve had a ball having his picture taken with the girls from Hooters. Of course he posted on facebook for all the world to see, good clean fun, he is harmless! We went down with 15 cars in our caravan and 11 of us won. Pretty good odds with about 500 cars in the show.
I tried really hard to keep him hydrated and cool. He has a cool rag/contraption that he keeps around his neck. Dipped in the cooler every little while it works wonders.
The good time in the rooms at night is what I like the most. The fellowship with good friends. The laughter, the jokes and the bragging among the men of who has the best car.
We are so blessed. We praise God every day for his blessings. Steve will start a new round of Sutent tomorrow. Number 40. WOW!! He is on 3 weeks on/ and one week off and then starts over! We have learned to live with this, is it pleasant? No! But with the grace of our Heavenly Father we continue on this journey. Steve is my hero!
Please pray for our friends who are struggling. So many who need encouragement. God Bless each of you.

Hi Wanda and Welcome Home!
I thought of the two of you when I heard those temperatures. We have actually had a few days of weather in the 80\'s here on the West Coast. ha Then it rains again. Sounds like both of you had a wonderful time.
Have there been times, during the previous 39 Sutent cycles, when Steve has been off for several months at a time? Ron started his second cycle last Friday and the plan is for two weeks on and one off. The only real side effect he experienced was a low blood count which took three weeks to come back up to normal. We are thankful to be fortunate in that. Needless to say, we anticipate learning whether or not Sutent has provided any benefit. That will be another cycle or so down the road.

Dear Wanda, This is such a happy journal. Thank you for sharing the good times. I feel such happiness in just reading about how you and Steve are enjoying your life. I pray that this will last for a long, long time...that there will be many more car shows in Steve\'s future! All is holding here for me. I\'ll be writing you soon with the details. Hello lovely Wanda - I feel the same as Linda - it\'s so good to read about the fun times, and a reminder that life is all about living. 40 rounds of Sutent - Steve is everyone\'s hero, let me tell you! I pray that there\'s a drug waiting out there that works as well for all our sufferers. I\'ve been quiet recently - but will write a journal soon.

Good for the two of you dear Wanda. You are truly blessed and lucky to be going on so strong, and so well. God granted you this reprieve and you are making the most of it, doing what you both enjoy. I must admit, I am a wee bit jealous, but that only makes me human which is what we all are. I only wish you many more years of this stability - y\'all deserve it!

Wanda, what a wonderful journal. A mustang convention. I\'ll have to tell my friend about it, she has a old convertable mustang. I know she would like the beach. You know any excuse..... Will be praying that the next round goes smoothly. Hugs Jane
