UUUHHHHHHH..........

Well today I got a call from my Pain Doc`s office wanting to schedule me for a NS consult in Lubbock,Tx. I let the woman on the other end talk about the referal and about everything that needed to be covered .Then she say`s that the NS is Dr. D`Alise ...I had already told them that I didn`t want to see him because of when I moved to New Mexico I had a referal to see him ,he is the NS that for some reason thinks that just because I have had a surgery to place a shunt that I am wanting more surgery .I don`t know where he even got that in his head because when I first saw him I explained that my NS in Denver ,Co.told me that I needed to get a NS down here just in case something went wrong .For some reason if you have had a surgery to your back or neck(my case) they would really rather treat a dog than you ,even if it is just as a precaution .I really don`t understand!!!!!! Getting back to the woman on the phone ,I tell her all of this and she say`s "Well if you are not wanting surgery then why do you want to see a NS,that is what they do SURGERY". I tried to tell her that I already talked to my pain Doc and it was his idea to refer me to a NS and that is what my NS in Denver Had recomended too .I still don`t think she understands .What the heck do they expect me to do treat myself .Last I checked I was not allowed to diagnose myself and to give myself injections or prescribe med`s for myself .I don`t know but maybe I would do a better job than what Ihave seen down here !!!!!!!!
