Society here is failing itself. There is no trickle down from the rich. Homeless people in Utah need to get the hell out of dodge because all of the subsidized housing projects have fell through AGAIN. Five of them froze to death during last winter. There's a goddamn waiting list just to get into the shelter

Same here where I live except we have under funded our police and so the crime is rampant. And the type of crime like your wallet being stolen from your purse if you look away with it in your grocery cart. Or the bicycle you leave on your front yard is scooped up by the scum who walk or drive around looking for such opportunities. Trucks get stolen a lot, if one lives in an apartment complex, there are constant car break ins. We have a terrible city council who don't care and think it is okay to have $10,000 a year property taxes in my dumpy neighborhood of small modest old houses. Most of our unsheltered are mentally ill or drug using. One can tell. But honestly, not all of the unsheltered, of course. It is a sad sad problem.
