US and issues

Well, I was going to write last night.  Had our first US yesterday...twins with heartbeats of 150 and 162 beats per minute.  I was on could nine yesterday.  When I got home from work I was walking in the door and had a sudden gush of fluid and then started spotting.  I was so worried that everyting was going wrong.  I basically stayed in bed all evening/night though I didn't sleep much.  I spoke with the RE nurse and went in for another US this morning.  Thank GOD the babies still looked very good with good heartbeats.  I had a new small fluid collection outside of the 2 baby sacs.  My RE thinks it is some fluid from my pelvis communicating via the fallopian tubes.  My sister-in-law has a very good friend who is 30 weeks along who had the exact same thing happen and all has gone well.
I'm feeling much better but wish I could totally relax.  Thankfully today was a light day at work and my partner was more than willing to cover a few things for me.  So I'm at home, resting, napping, and trying to relax.  My RE said there is nothing I can do to upset things as things are so well implanted at this point.  It is reassuring but I guess I'm a worry wart. ;-)

Oh wow congrats :) I had my first US last Friday and we saw 2 sacs buy I was only 5 weeks - how far along were you that you could hear both heartbeats? I have another appt this Friday and I\'ll be a pinch over 6 weeks

Congrats on the twins! Pg can be so scary. I have a subchorionic hematoma and had some bleeding/spotting a few times. It seems there is always something. Just rest and try to relax. That made me feel better to not have to stress about anything else.

Congratulations!! Wow, twins!!! Im glad you were able to go back in for another ultrasound to confirm the babies and their heartbeats still look good. That must have been a scary experience. Take care of yourself and keep resting!!

Congrats on the twins! I\'m sorry you had a scare yesterday, but it\'s a good thing it looks like the fluid was coming from a collection that doesn\'t communicate with the twins\' sacs. Are you 7 or 8 weeks now? I\'ve lost track!

Thanks so much everyone :-) I\'ll be 8 weeks on Saturday. We didn\'t actually hear the hartbeats, but you could see them on the screen and my RE made sure to count them- very exciting to see! I\'m relaxing a bit more, but definitely tired. Got home from work today and slept for 3 hours! I\'ve made an appt with an OB for shortly after my last RE appt in 1.5 weeks. Continuing to stay hopeful.
